Hi! Thanks for the video. I play guitars, compose riffs and solos. Under the guidance of the producer, he even released a record in Detroit on the FNR label. I have a lot of ideas, but I can't write a simple and easy song, organize myself, make an arrangement, maybe it's lazy, but it's difficult for me. This video helped me get rid of this complex and it became easier for me to understand that music is also mathematics, in addition to creativity. Thank you, and I wish you and the channel prosperity.

I get stuck with a great part and then getting it to set apart the verse and chorus apart from studio stuff. Just songwriting. How to expand the original idea. How to make the chorus stand out. What was your thought process picking chords. Those are things I struggle with. Ya know? Anyway, you’re killing it. Great content

Bro, really dig your stuff. I wish I could take a few songwriting lessons. I’d love to hear more about developing ideas - when I write alone and play all the parts, I struggle to differentiate the verse and chorus, it just takes more work than I feel it should. I think this happens to a lot of us. But it comes so quick to you, so I’d love to hear more about that! 🤙🤙

Thank you!!! Yeah it can get challenging but like anything- The more you do it, the more you find different approaches and your process gets a little more easier I feel. I actually just made a post on my community page here (KZitem) asking if anyone would be interested in me giving songwriting/music production lessons/tips through my approach!

Any advice on writing to a song? I make songs I really like but when it comes time to put words on the track, my brain just melts. Like I can’t come up with a melody to save my life.
@bananalabs

Hey, Jack! Thanks for your question. I struggle with lyrics myself, to be honest. Definitely not my strongest when it comes to writing down words, so it would be difficult for me to help others with that. If I can find a way to explain how I personally come up with lyrics I will not hesitate to make a video on that!
@DIGITAL7Media

I would suggest to get into the practice of writing words once a day or as often as possible. Writing anything. Just get in the habit of dropping down words from your head. OR grab words from your favorite book or movie.

Great video and catchy song! Of course he song form you choose depends on the style and he mood you want to express… For certain songs the verses and choruses could last the same (16 bars). A lot of Fleetwood Mac songs have a regular 8-bar structure (i.e.: “big love” or “everywhere” but they have a bit of a longer intro that was popular in the 80’s, nowadays most of modern pop music have no intro at all!) and Madonna’s biggest hits start with intro+chorus and then follow the 8 bar rule verse-chorus-bridge (i.e.: “into the groove”, “express yourself”). On of my latest songs has the “express yourself” measures but the funny part is: it wasn’t planned to be done that way! kzitem.info/news/bejne/1LCq0J2uaWR1aII

My observation is that beginners songs and mixes suck due to using free virtual synth presets. One must have time and interest to learn how to at least tweak those clangy, boomy, odd and too complicated pads and lead sounds which can totally ruin chord backgrounds. It is like trying to make simple vocal-guitar idea to "too professional" sounding product and fail totally.
@bananalabs

That’s a great observation. Couldn’t agree with you more on that.
