Here's the next episode of Three-For-All with 3 Bill Leverty Licks From 1992. I've noticed a number of requests to feature some of Bill Leverty's music with FireHouse and I actually met/opened for these guys back in 2006. I figured taking a look at some of Bill's fiery licks/tricks would be a great place to start - so here we go!
This lesson takes a look at a number of ideas pulled from an episode of the short-lived video series in the 1990s called "Hot Guitarist." Bill was featured in the second installment of the series and is caught sharing some tasty licks and various sections from his solos during his interview. The ideas shared here include a sinister b5 idea taken from the 'Reach For The Sky' solo, a couple of slick licks hiding in Bill's 'Don't Treat Me Bad' guitar solo, a bar-dipped melodic phrase that brings the legendary Eddie Van Halen to mind, and more!
If you're a FireHouse/Bill Leverty fan then there's plenty to sink your teeth into in this lesson, but if you're new to Bill's playing and the music of FireHouse, get ready - there are some cool ideas hiding in this lesson!
