I would suggest that besides the titles you provide the names of the authors. For two of these books the are more than one book with the same main title.

Art in theory and practice still haunts me from my days at art school. It’s gruelling

Which of these books teach you how to draw? or sculpt?
@infinite_prototype

None! I wanted this video to focus on books that are useful for artists outside of techniques and skills. I think someone is better off learning how to draw or sculpt through tutorials and workshops.

Okay, so what about learning techniques like color/perspective/shading......
@infinite_prototype

Those are technical skills that i didn't want to cover in this video. I think there are plenty of tutorials and resources to learn those skills, i just wanted to focus on other components of what you learn in art school

can you make a video about self taught artists? Like how to learn all the fundamentals and stuff. Sort of a guide...
@infinite_prototype

What type of fundamentals were you thinking? Like for drawing or painting or more of how to approach learning to be an artist?

Start doing stuff, if something is not as good as you want, study how to do it. Then get back doing any stuff again. Work work work, no need to know where you want to get.

any suggested order we should be reading all these books?

Nope! It really depends on what subject you have the most interest in. They are all very different from each other. I would personally start with Art in Theory or The Profitable Artist.

You're talking about not spending money, but the clickbait title is dangerous and misleading.

@@infinite_prototype Kudos to you on the work you're doing here, art is a piece of humanity that must be valued. So thanks for creating this channel. There's a huge universe that the university provides to what embodies art in oneself: social relations; teachers that are also deep researchers; getting to know historical movements and key people that wrote about their own creative process, and on, and on... Y'know? And imho the young (and old!) people that think about going to university, man... They gotta go, they gotta have it. BUT being an artist is just about deciding it and doing any art. Btw there are public universities in my country.

So I guess it's these type of students who want the rest of us to pay for your student debt pursuing these type of degrees.......
