You've probably mentioned it somewhere, but I really like Gary Klein's " seeing what others dont - insight" book.

Switch roles. Brilliant. Learn to look at the same problem through another person's eyes.

It's been so cool watching you and this channel grow, I've never even thought of the concept of knowledge work and actually organizing all these random notes we accumulate until I saw your Zetelkasten video. Artists and creatives are knowledge workers too!! Keep up the awesome work Vicky, thank you 🤍👏

Aww thank you! This means so much. Artists and creatives might be the OG knowledge workers the more I dive into the creative processes. Keep creating!

"Did you secretly want to hear you are creative or analytical?" 😊 Hilarious. The truth is most of us want or need some type of external validation

I clasp my hands (right thumb on top) and immediately thought "isn't that my right-handedness?" and " isn't the left-right brain thing disproven?" and then Vicky said...🤣🤣

Could you make a video about how to go from creative to more analytical? I always find myself trying to solve problems on my own instead of taking the more efficient route of being humble enough to learn from courses/university.

Tell me more! Where do you feel stuck when you go from creative to analytical?

@VickyZhaoBEEAMP I realize the flaw with the words i used. Creative and analytical aren't opposites. Anyway, what I mean is, how can i think in a more linear way? Creative thinking is a long process. I love complexity and usually subconsciously reject concepts and ideas by forgetting or misunderstanding them while looking for the fun or necessity that birthed them. How can I get the work done where my way is a terrible waste of time? I am a student and find it extra hard to learn by taking info and spilling it out in an exam, whether it's calculus or management or economics. If I dont understand the depth and agree with whatever concept, I'm definitely failing the next test when everyone else just does whatever they're told without questioning it. In short, how do I bypass my ever exploring mind that's always looking to have fun, actively learn, and be useful in an environment where GIGO seems to be the best route to success?

I wish to think in a more conservative manner because my intelligence is having too much fun and just producing bad results.

That’s an attention grabbing video! Loved it. My “left” brain immediately revolted against a debunked theory. 😅 As a data point, I started very creative as an artist but got a little bored (and broke 😭 ) and got into UX design and research. I love constraint mixed with creativity and problem solving. You get to cross reference your mental map of the universe with what could be. All cylinders!

Looooove the mix! Something I'm diving deeper into - how do we marry the "creative" with the "analytical" - balancing 2 opposing ideas and being able to function is the ultimate human experience

Hey Vicky, really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with Best Quality Editing in your videos better than your Editor with good pricing and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your videos to reach to a wider audience ? Pls let me know what do you think ?

Sorry, off topic, but I’m distracted by your lips. You seem like a woman who has plenty of self confidence and appear to be very intelligent and respectful to others, as I’m sure you are to yourself. I ask myself: Why on earth would she enhance her lips? This obviously is a private question but can you reduce my distraction here? Monty
