One of the most important think to do before you going off roading, is go through your rig make sure wheel bearing, belts, wheel cylinders, brakes, etc etc, the most Maintenence you do the less chance to break down.

I always have a police patrol organizer bag in the back, that has every basic way to make, have a drink or a dried food something, with one of those cheep square butane cookers, a fire box twig stove, if fire is permited, but it is pretty safe. "It has alot of compartments and pockets, you can fit alot of stuff in and you would not even know its there" it's about15 inches square easy to move and fits pretty much anywhere. semi soft sides which is good. Always with me.

Loved when you said “who cares!?!?” about what food to bring. It’s also funny when people think they need a $1,000 fridge for a 3 day overland adventure. Uh, get a cooler and some ice. You’ll be fine. A fridge is only necessary for multiple weeks away from any civilization, which is not common in the states. Trips are more fun when they are less complicated and require less planning.

I like that philosophy; why spend $$$$$$$ on the latest gizmo laden cooler when you can pack a cooler, the way long distance outfitters who go on month long trips hunting/fishing via a boat, or by pack train? Re-watched this and came up with some suggestions: A backpack small to medium to carry water (water bottles) sm. first-aid kit some snacks sun hat clothing sit pad and hiking boots or sneakers. (Because you're driving in flip flops.) All this in case you have to walk out for help.
