I agree, as a mother myself, I don’t even want to think of anything ever happening to my kids, let alone the “not knowing” who did it. Wards family should have thanked the amateur that looked into his case, not the police who certainly did zero “hard work” on the case for 35+ years. They sat on it and did nothing with the info they had available. Disgusting, actually. It seems the majority of cases now are solved by either dedicated amateurs or a lab tech who managed to match DNA. What do the police or state attorneys do, exactly? Nothing?

I'm waiting for the day Gabby Petito's family sues North Port FL PD. They fkd up even before they took the case, every step of the way, even after her killer died. Even their spokesman was horrible. I kind of wish that they would start with cold cases that are more recent in which justice could be served on earth. I would still want them to pop back in time to older cases here and there too. If a case is old enough odds are that the perpetrator is likely dead already. While I believe that those victims and their loved ones deserve answers too, I would like to see more perpetrators who are still alive taken off of the streets so that they cannot harm anyone else.

I remember when they were working on Reginald Ward’s case, and I still just don’t understand how you know someone committed a murder and don’t say anything. Whether it’s your family or not, the person they killed has family that deserve to know what happened to them, especially something so horrible as to dump someone in a river like that. Sooo the skin slippage is one thing but those medical examiners are horrible cause there SO MANY ways to tell a persons ethnicity without their skin... We find 10,000 yo mummies and very very very rarely today and probably since the 60s or 70s have we miss gender and miss identity their ethnicity even before testing. All they got that one thing right, which was he was male... That's a really bad medical examiner... No wonder it wasn't solved till now, this is important to note cause if the medical examiner couldn't even tell his ethnicity by anything but skin, there was probably more evidence on him at the time of him being found, water or not. Something tells me we shouldn't have had to wait this long for justice or give some dude a plea deal for the info.

Does anyone remember the case of a young girl who was murdered in the 70s? There were two teens sisters home alone. The younger sister went out with friends while the older sister stayed home alone. When the younger sister came home she found her sister stabbed multiple times on the bed. Years go by until DNA links the murder to a younger sisters friend. He had gone to the house with the intention of raping and killing the younger sister but as she was out, he killed the older one instead.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it a bit "odd" that it took the police this long to match up the fingerprints in the last case. Dont get me wrong, im not saying he's innocent, or guilty, for that matter. I just think that the fingerprint being their biggest piece of evidence, they would have checked it against his years ago. If they didn't, why not? If he refused, they could have subpoenaed him to get it done. So it's just, as I said, a bit "odd" that it all matches now.
