Great video! I was wondering if you can do a detailed tutorial on how to do a frontflip and backflip on flat ground, or jumping off an edge or such, I can do multiple backflips and frontflips on a trampoline in a row, but when it comes to flat ground I can never get the confidence to do it.
@D0ch0lliday1
9 жыл бұрын
RequiemDreamz Yeah we're preparing a front flip and back flip tutorial! Gymnastics- based and parkour-based soon! Fear has a way to erase drilled progressions.. Remembering step by step concepts of a skill can override mental blocks preventing you from achieving your goal. Have you worked on a standing jump backflip on trampoline? :D

at the hands position for balacing you could try holding your hands a bit closer than shoulder width. apart so you can get a better balance (its a bit harder) . For myself it worked very good , so whoever wants to do the handstand try this hand position.
@rholanddelamerced

it's about 1 year trying to master this handstand, but still can't hold it for like 10 secs. I think I can only hold it up up to 2 secs, or sometimes I hold it for like 5 secs but just a luck... i still can't master this thing :/
@D0ch0lliday1
9 жыл бұрын
+RHOLAND hey man! have you tried building strength for it? holding a handstand against any wall would be good. I recommend 2 -3 sets of 20-30 seconds to start :D
@rholanddelamerced

Frankleton Grey thank you for your reply! I'm practicing my handstand against a wall, but didn't know that I need to hold it for 20 secs. So, thank you for your advice 😄

+RHOLAND try to lift weights. Im a skinny and weak person. The first attempt doing a handstand was a big fail. I cant even hold it for 1 second. But now (im still skinny) I go to the gym and I work out my core (abs and chest, mostly upper muscles), I can do a hand stand for 4 seconds. Maybe because i have a strong core and my weight is too light :)
@rholanddelamerced
9 жыл бұрын
pmglory Yes, you have a pretty strong strong core muscle. But I'm still not allowed to lift. Maybe, I'll just do some core exercise.
@pmglory
9 жыл бұрын
I do not have a strong strong core muscle, maybe it just because i have the average strength and my weight is too light. But like what legends says, practice makes better. Practicing a hand stand with friends or a trainer will help. :) yeah do some core exercise it will help for sure but not as fast as weeks maybe around months

Thanks so much for this really helpful tutorial. Please can you help guide me how to fall out of the handstand position? For many of us that's probably a key barrier to get over, especially in the position when you're holding the handstand facing the wall. Is there a technique for rolling out if your shoulders fatigue? Thanks.

I didn't realise until watching and trying this that one of my shoulders is so stiff that I can't hold it straight up and down. My right shoulder is fine, but my left arm sort of points out in front of me at a 70 degree angle from the shoulder. I know this could be a silly question but do you know any stretches that could help loosen it up? Cheers. Thanks for the great vids. I'm doing your crash course into parkour at the mo and it's awesome!
@Yturijea
7 жыл бұрын
dont know if you still have problems with your left shoulder mobility, but a tip for making it better would be to have your arms straight onto a wall in front of you and try to push your head and chest through towards the ground. there are multiple other ways as well. you could lie down with your upper back over something which is a little over the ground and try to reach the ground above your head with straight arms, this might be easier if you have some weight holding your arms down as well and use your hip to control the pressure.

Frank (and the Tapps)>>>> When it comes to what is possible for any gymnast to learn, isn´t handstand, front handspring, backhandspring, front flip and backflip the most reachable? I mean when I watch out how for example aerial and sideflip is done, it looks much more difficult.
