One of the best instructors on KZitem and actually teaching correctly. Amongst all the saturated golf KZitem garbage thank you for taking the time to put out quality content.

Great training videos, Jonathan. I love how you absolutely stick to solid fundamentals, rather than doing videos that are way too broad and useless for training....like people like Rick Shiels does. Without solid fundamentals that are focussed on key areas, no one truly improves. Great teaching style and content.

Jono - great vid, just wanted to get your thoughts on right elbow / arm mechanics, I could be wrong but it looks like you flare a bit in your swing? Cheers from Australia

Hello love the channel and wanted to get the swing plate. Do you know why the code might not work at checkout?

u see how in that second drill the ball flight pushed out to the right? I am having that issue. I’ve managed to fix my over the top but now my ball pushes out to the right. I assume it’s Kuz I’m not closing my clubface enough. Any suggestions/drills to correct that?

Yes you are correct in thinking that the club face is too open. I would need to see your swing to know what to prescribe for sure. But you need to do things to get the club face a bit more closed at impact

@@JKMGolfthx for the reply. Just now i was working on it and im trying to picture hitting the outside of the ball… (rather than the inside) it worked today, but who knows what itll be tomorrow. 🤷♂️ lol

While I really appreciate your approach with explaining WHY, I can't tell you how frustrating it is to watch all these shallowing videos so easy. 20 years of hitting baseballs followed by 30 years of an over the top golf swing seems impossible to break. No matter what I do, I come from over the top, frustrating. Skip the rock, drop your hands, throw the club side arm, pause at the top of your swing, pound the bag on your downswing, on and on. And yes, I've seen a local instructor, things he suggested are different from anything I see online, but still do not yield a straight shot. It's easy to mimic these swings in slow motion, step by step but as soon as you add some speed...boom, fail...lol. Welp, guess I'll keep practicing. Anyway, really well done video.

For me, I can shallow the club and get a nice straight shot off a mat. However, put me on a course, and I can't hit a decent shot for the life of me. Same frustration as yourself....but different reason.....lol. I lose my ability to shallow the club properly....once |'m hitting on the course. Feels like it's gonna be a huge mountain to climb over....to hit decent shots on the course.

You've been shilling products on your channel more than anything lately. Used to be a channel for good advice and now it's all about promoting products. Lame.

he needs to get compensation for the clear value he's providing, so what? Not to mention that this device looks incredibly useful, though it would probably be madding for me for about 3 (or more) months while I struggle to stop coming over the top. Nope, this is not a fake/paid comment and I have no affiliation with this swingplate, this is the first time I ever saw it.....

But the product is useful for all the drills he mentioned, is it not? Or are you expecting him to build his own device?

It's a great device (I've owned it for about a year now) and he is still providing "good advice."
