I'm researching great bearded dragon meal ideas and these 3 look great! That's quite a wide variety and so nutritious. I don't have my dragon yet, but will in a few months, so I'm gathering up all kinds of useful information that we did not have access to 30 years ago!

You know I got a bearded dragon because I was impressed with them being omnivores. I was not looking forward to feeding bugs to an animal. Now I wish he was purely an insectivore because I’m tired of throwing out veggies!! I love him anyways and couldn’t imagine life without him.

Aye Elion! Just got my baby dragon bout 6wks ago. His name is Drake ❤. This is my first dragon, but ok no stranger to reptiles. As we’ve had red and yellow ear slider turtles and an iguana named Igor. Appreciate the informative post and videos. They’re very helpful. I’m learning more and he’s growing healthy and happy! He’s calm, cool, and chilled. A real gentleman (lol). He recognizes the sound of my voice and even seems to know his name! He comes down from basking and stands or moves back and forth @ the door of his tank when he wants cuddles and kisses. @ night he likes to sleep under my shirt till morning then starts moving around and pops his head out ready to incubate and eat. He’s the most handsomeness always picture ready! Most definitely I want a job! Hmu let’s chat. My name’s Sno.

Have you ever heard of people feeding their bearded dragons earthworms, I've been researching bearded dragons for about 6 months I like to do research before I just go and get one. So I follow about 10 people on KZitem to research the bearded dragons and you're one of them, but I dont see a lot of people talkin about earthworms and bearded dragon so I thought I'd asked you. Thank you

Always a great choice to do your research before getting a new animal, especially exotics, so great job! Beardies can eat earthworms but they are extremely fatty, so it's not really recommended. As I'm sure you're aware, worms like mealworms, superworms, hornworms, and waxworms aren't to be used as a regular feeder, but may be given on occasion as an appropriate treat based on the size of your dragon. Similarly, wouldn't want to feed your buddy earthworms often, and if you do, be cautious of where you get them from to ensure they are safe to be used for live feeding to your dragon (think parasites, pesticides- both of which are common in earthworms and can be harmful or even fatal). Hope this helps! :)

I think you can feed them earthworms but they just don't like them very much. I read that they'll eat them but they're definitely not a favorite. Also should not be fed as a staple food, so maybe like a treat or something every once in a while.

Good for you for doing research before you go and get one. I wish everyone did this. It really should be a requirement. So many mistakes made by people who don't know what they're doing, so good for you! That made my day to read that, believe it or not!

I absolutely love your channel. My daughters father got her a baby beardie for her 4th bday n at firsr i was terrified n didnt want to think about the bugs she would have to eat. But when i seenn my daughters smile n shouts of joy and exciment. I just couldnt say no. I had to start building a bond with BLOW THE BABY BIERDIE. Thats what my baby girl named her dragon. Her birthday was july 15th . So from then to now i am much better and actually have a bond with Blow. My daughter is very loud and alwaya jumping n noticed Blow was very uneasy with Royal. N how chill she was with my daughterz dad. And thank God for your channel. The only channel thar made me feel comfortable enough to watch and actually GO AND TRY It. So THANK U VERY MUCH for your time and making these vedios for people like me. I was once afraid of lizards n now i own one and take care of , so im learning something new every single day and want to keep learning so that Blow can grow strong and healthy and be with us for a long time. Blow at first was very observent and jumpy. But then i quickly noticed that she was only like that when my daughter was around. Just jumpy, literraly jump back into her enclousure or anywhere away from Royal. When her dad will carry her, blow would be chill, very obvservant to everyrhing around her. When i watched your vedio on training a beardie i said " yup this is how ima build my bond since we both SCARED OF EACHOTHER & everyrhing new around too. As soon as royal comes we noticed her stating to move alot more, jumping trying to commir suicide 😮😢😂 like why would u jump so far knowing you all the way UP HERE. I started with calling her name and sticking my tounge out each time. ( only bc i seen another beardies do diffrent cool stuff likr bob to music, or wave or stick her tounge out .) So thats part of our daily training. Now i absilutely obssessed with blow. ❤❤

My dragon is pretty good about eating salad. But she doesn't like a lot of stuff.I don't buy a lot of different things for her to try because it will just end up going bad in the fridge.I live in northern Maine and we only have Walmart or your regular grocery store, and. When you try to buy vegetables there you have to buy them in a large bunch.I have used vacuum seal containers which is helping? , but how can I keep these greens to stay fresh or longer so that I can try different things with my dragon?

My beardie is extremely picky. He loves romaine lettuce and that's it as far as veggies go. He will not eat anything else. As for fruits, so far it's only bananas that he will eat. Of course he goes nuts for meal worms. I give him multivitamins and calcium so he isn't lacking anything, and I introduce new foods and re-introduce foods I've tried before just to at least offer a variety in his diet. He just won't touch anything else. I do the whole salad thing too so it's not just one veggie in there. He is a bit of a crazy one and definitely is taking more effort to get him to open up than I hoped, but all the same I love him and am finally making progress. I have noticed that when he was a baby he avoided the basking spot a lot and I finally got his home set up in a way that seems to make him happy. He's got a basking spot, cool spot and a temp gradient. I managed to finally get it set up in a way that he's really perked up and actually runs around his enclosure and started coming out on his own when I leave the door open. It's nice to see him finally happy. Only had him a couple months now and it took a lot of work to figure out what makes him happy. Nothing I saw everyone else doing works. He doesn't like hides or rocks, and he loves his log I gave him. He ignores everything else except his log and his hammock.

I rip up and break down the kale not too much cuz it's just going to be in slightly big chunks since I found out she actually prefers it like that for some reason I tried breaking it up small she didn't really seem to want it the bigger the chunk I would say probably about the size of my palm split in half sometimes and she'll eat it I also dumped the crickets in and she actually prefers that I leave crickets in there so she can eat at any time most people say don't do that but I found a way to make sure the crickets don't go after her and she can go after the crickets as she pleases keeping it kind of like a wild environment for her don't know why it works so well but it seems to work very well for all my animals for my froggos they got the branches and all that everywhere they got the three hideouts they have a fake skull of a dinosaur in there one likes to sit on that all the time the Geico likes the hide on the right side of the tank I don't know why I think it's cuz it's even more hot the other two froggos seem to like to hide in the cricket box I get about 1000 crickets open up the box put it down and put it therefore they can relax please crickets do not go after them sometimes they'll jump on him and irritate them just a moment but when I look at them there's no injuries no wounds nothing maybe like a nibble of like something like you know like a bug bite and you get a little I doubt you slap just like an itch the most it gets do usually just go after the plants that I put in there for them they recently changed the box originally it was a pain for the me get the crickets in there without going everywhere now they gave us a little side piece that I can just rip off and the crickets will slowly come out for the other box original box it opens like a normal box it's not that big but I ripped off some of the sides so it opens and then I said it in there with two pieces pretty much holding it open she got those two little flaps that are on the inside of the box completely removed while the top two pieces are still there both of my frogs like to hide in there one is called Morty and he literally fits that very well he's recently been calming down but still very skittish as always I'm not too worried about it as long as I know he's okay I got the other one named spots because he's got spots all over his back he comes out rarely I know where he hides so I know he's okay he's been coming out more often I don't know why but I'm glad they all are my bearded dragon I got a lot of nicknames for her fatty, Tubby, jiggly, beardo, weirdo, my beautiful bearded dragon, baby so yeah she's got a lot of nicknames sometimes she gets the nickname stinky because she took a death dump where it smells like death

They aren't suppose to have green bell peppers. Just the red, orange and yellow.
@BrianWanke
Жыл бұрын
Searched up if beardies could have green bell peppers, it said this : “Red bell peppers, for example, have far more Vitamin A and C than green bell peppers. That doesn't necessarily mean that green bell peppers are not good for your bearded dragon, it just means that red and yellow peppers are more nutritionally dense. Still, bearded dragons can safely eat green bell peppers”
