Its good to see a guy who like perfection on his work. Can I just suggest a thing ? What about mattebox for direct light to avoid also direct light ?

I’ve thought about this! I’m always trying to find the balance between a professional rig, while also staying light and maneuverable while also not intimidating my couple with some monstrous rig. Maybe I’ll look into it though

Great video and I'm sending encouragement to keep creating these! 🙌🏿🙌🏿 That being said, respectfully I disagree with your shutter crank comment. Because those real-time shots you used definitely looked shutter crank 😂 You can only slightly tell the difference on tripod or gimbal shots played in real time (not slow motion). Once you go hand-held on a small camera like the Fx3, or if there's not a ton of movement from the subject, motion blur kinda goes out the window. And thanks for your input on the diffusers, I've been considering getting them for a while but 1) I have 3 cameras which means I need to get at least 3 filters and 2) I had that same concern, about my backlit shots losing too much contrast and I didn't want to be fiddling with those in important moments.

Thanks for the comment! Those were all shot at 60fps with a shutter speed of 1/125. So to your point- yes, they aren’t going to be as smooth as 24fps & 1/50. It is nice to have a filter that lives on each lens permanently, but you could definitely get a filter large enough to cover all thread sizes of the lenses you own and then just buy cheap step up rings for each lens. Not the most convenient but definitely budget friendly!

Invest in a decent lav rather than holding the mic. Other than that solid info.

U using 35mm a cam fx3 what’s on the b cam? 😮 it’s the fx30 right 😮 what lens and mic are you using and do you handheld or gimbal or sticks 😅

I have a tamron 28-75 on the fx30 but actually a lot of these shots were on my 35mm and the fx3. Some of them were on a 50mm or an 85 as I was second shooting for someone else!

How can you mix 60fps and 24fps??! WHAT what framerate do you export the final video in?
@isaacbarroww
2 күн бұрын
I edit in a 24fps timeline and export at 24fps as well!
2 күн бұрын
@@isaacbarroww Exporting 60fps clips in a 24fps timeline is a bad idea because the software will drop frames, making the video look less smooth and potentially choppy, especially with fast motion. Shooting in 50fps would be better, as it's closer to 24fps, meaning fewer dropped frames and smoother motion. Plus, you can still create smooth slow-motion by slowing 50fps footage down to 24fps.

Awesome!! Biggest advice would be to focus on the story of the couple. If you were able to capture audio from vows, ceremony, speeches, etc, use it up!! Keep things simple and let the story of their wedding tell itself :)

@@isaacbarroww I was! Helped second shoot with a friend & came out with amazing b-roll & insanely clean audio from all of it (ceremony, speeches, vows, first look). So excited to get started with it all & use it to help tell the story!
