Just for anyone that doesn’t know, 1% of the population suffers from coeliac disease For the other 99%, consuming gluten is not something that should be avoided If you’re self diagnosing yourself as having a gluten disorder, stop it, go doctors, get a test and find out for sure 👍

@@brendabasson1083 1% of the population should avoid gluten due to Coeliac disease, other people should not avoid it and has no reason to! Anyone that’s not sure, go and get tested at your doctors to find out if you’re coeliac as consuming gluten in that case will be life threatening as your own body attacks itself like many other autoimmune diseases People that say we all should be avoiding gluten is just incorrect and completely misinformed

Another great video - and I for one am delighted to see sauces with fresh whole-food ingredients (e.g., garlic rather than garlic powder, green onions rather than onion powder, grated ginger rather than ginger powder). I follow a whole-food plant-based diet, so the more whole foods and the fewer processed foods the better, so far as I'm concerned. These recipes are great. (BTW, I made my first batch of Burmese tofu from chickpea flour - didn't cook it quite long enough, so live and learn. Next batch will be better.) - That chickpea and frozen vegetable stir-fry: I keep on hand some kind of cooked intact whole grain - rye, spelt, Kamut® (organic khorasan wheat), hulled barley, etc. I cook a batch and refrigerate it, and then when I make a salad or a stir-fry or the like, I add 1/3 or 1/2 cup. I think a cooked intact grain like that would go well in this dish with the chickpeas. (I try to eat both beans and (intact whole) grain at each meal.) - The green herb dressing: since you're using the blender, I suggest cutting the peel off the lemon and then blending the lemon so you get lemon pulp rather than merely using lemon juice. (Cut the ends off the lemon, cut it in half at its equator, then place the halves large-side-down and cut the peel off.) This increases nutritional value somewhat and the pulp adds more body.

@@fannyboni472 Perhaps my response was a little overkill.. but (it's about to get worse lol) it drives me crazy when people say and ask such brain dead things that they are clearly capable of doing and figuring out for themselves. You one thousand percent do not need Mr. KZitem to hold your hand and spoon feed you. You absolutely can take 10 minutes out of your day to do some quick research on the styles & reviews for different mandolin slicers. Followed by searching any number of the major online retailers to order the one you decide is best for you. It's just so frustrating to see more and more people almost needing some sort of perceived para social approval from their favorite influencers in order to make decisions for themselves. Just be you, do your own thing, figure your own stuff out, make your own decisions, buy the damn mandolin slicer, be free! Lol

Ok. i LOVE jicama and we are in the season for it now (in Ecuador), finally!! Otherwise you can't find it where i live now but i learned to love jicama back in the states. Recently a neighbor made some jicama saurekraut (how the heck do you spell that?! Haha ) and it's almost replace kimchi for my fav ferment but nope kimchi is still #1!! 😂 So yep if anybody hasn't given jicama a try, do it!! Trader Joe's has both "taco" shells and/or already cut up jicama usually near those carrots and celery sticks boxes (where it's ready to eat). Ok jicama rant/advertising done.
