In this video, I demonstrate 3 foundational boxing footwork drills. They are basic drills that I do almost everyday. The more you practice them the better you will get. If you a beginner, I do not recommend trying any advanced footwork drills where you cross your feet or switch stances. Once you build a foundation then it'll be okay to try more advanced footwork. Throughout the entire time you should be in your boxing stance.

Drill 1: Step Pivot
In your boxing stance, step to the outside of the cone, and pivot yourself back into position. Do not strike hard with your heel. Making contact with your heel is fine but make sure the majority of your weight is on your toes. I find this drill easiest after throwing a hook.
Drill 2: In & out
In your boxing stance, step into the agility ladder square, then step back out immediately. Your feet should never touch on this drill. Again, your weight should be on your toes. Moving one direction may be more comfortable than the other.
Drill 3: BOTH
In your boxing stance, you'll be doing drill 1 & 2 immediately after the other. In Out Step Pivot.
It may be a bit confusing at first but keep doing it till you're flowing. You may get a few blisters. You know you're doing it right if you do! Thanks for watching please make sure to LIKE SHARE COMMENT and SUBSCRIBE. Help me reach my goal of 20,000 subscribers by the end of the year!
