It's kinda wierd... I'm a med student and all the neurochemistry in the explanation pretty much makes sense.. But there are so many aspects of meditation and semen retention that just cannot be explained by existing scientific concepts... But you go to the spiritual and esoteric texts, and they appear to know exactly what it is we are experiencing... It's amazing.

What is Neville Goddard's view on God? I'm asking, because I may be wrong, but I think I've heard him say that we are Gods. This totally goes against my beliefs as I practice monotheism.
@conner2811
5 жыл бұрын
lespaul2000 Seems to me that Neville views the Bible as a psychological drama, not a historical account. In his view each character represents a different state of consciousness. God, the omnipotent creative force, is our own human imagination. So maybe saying he thinks that we access the creative power of God through the intentional or unintentional use of our imagination would be more accurate than that we are all gods. Either way I don’t think he subscribed to the idea that there is a creator that decides and operates independently of Man. Just my interpretation though.

Yeah i think that´s not really true (I am a bit of an musician and a long time smoker and what i can tell you for sure is that the inspiration and creativity that often comes after smoking weed doesn´t really have to do with being relaxed at all. It has to do with cannabis being a really strong psychedelic or kinda-psychedelic drug ! ) I would expect that to be kinda obvious. And for the mechanism of it psychedelic effect - we don´t really know the full picture for sure at all but, one of the best ideas about that i´ve heard is from Terrence Mckenna, an insanely creative guy and a lifetime smoker, and that is that the weed somehow dissolves the barrier between the conscious everyday mind and the unconscious mind. That would also explain it´s effect on dreams. (You dream less because the unconscious content has been let through more freely in the day, therefore it ceases to be so potent at night).
