I would tell my ten year old self that no matter what is said to them, it makes more sense to just apply fats to our split ends and cut them off *after* reaching goal length rather than continually getting frustrated with our condition and big chopping over and over again in pursuit of perfectly undamaged photoshop hair that scarcely exists for people with strands as delicate as mine.

What kinds of fats sis?? I've never heard this before so I'm very curious!
@personmcdudeguy
Жыл бұрын
@@justdream1sttv924 I had a whole reply typed out then it got deleted 😅 Basically anything that works for you! Oils that get solid at room temperature have lots of saturated fats, which can sink into the hair, and oils that stay liquid when cold have lots of unsaturated fats that just coat the surface. Both of those are important. Silicones basically act like artificial unsaturated fat, and that can be good for some people too. The hair and nails naturally contain some fats, but washing, sunlight, and touching removes a lot of it. Giving oil back to it regularly is important to keeping it healthy in the long term.
