The attacker in the first story was definitely a narcissist. Narcs aren't going to want treatment because they're not going to see that as a mental illness (or that anything is wrong with them at all). But I'd argue differently because they cannot take accountability for wrongdoing or empathize with others. However, I don't know any medication that could help. And speaking of medication, a LOT of people stop taking their meds when they "feel better," and this can be especially dangerous when it comes to people with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, etc. who are also a violent person.

When I want to meet someone I met online I do a paid search. I also go for coffee, I never drink on a first date. It is also a good idea to tell a friend about the details of your date and have them call you during the date My worst experience was a double date. Both guys were obnoxious. My date left after dinner and I stayed at my friend's house. My friend hooked up with her date. After a few minutes, he comes out butt naked and asked if I wanted to join in! Sorry not sorry that I'm not going to jump in to the middle of a situation where i have no idea whats happening or why or if one of them is armed. Just realised that I never had a date. I met people at school, social club, in the cafe, at work. And some friendships became more.

Is it worse to be a risk to yourself or to others?

Others. You're already suffering. Why make innocent outsiders and their families suffer?

Canada as well as Australia being former colonies of Britain should have whole like tariffs for people who do psychotic things I mean really there are unredeemable able people or people who when jailed take their meds and go off them shortly after being released… also parole boards or people who represent the parole system should be held equally as responsible for the persons actions if their released early…

Wasn't the US a former British colony too? I don't think you can force the mentally ill to take their medication there either?

I had somebody tell me that a relative of theirs murdered his wife and served 25 years and now he's out and he has a good job and he goes to church and his life is going on. He told me this is as though it was a good thing and I said all it cost his wife was her life for him to have this good life.

After reading these comments and watching this episode of CL,, I know why i stay single and why i quit dating after my last "bf"... I know every man is not crazy and every woman is not crazy. But i will not go through one more fucked up relationship hoping to find a good man... id rather be single forever. It's great to not have to deal with anyone's bull shit TBH...

30 years, 26 years, for killing with no remorse and Europe has the audacity to question the US on how we treat our criminals? You give people kill a chance to love again while disarming those who are the victims. Just sad!

I went on a date with an older guy who was super good looking. I took a benadryl because my allergies were causing my sinuses to hurt. I got a little sleepy toward the end because of the benadryl but I thought the date went well and I went home. Next morning I get an all-caps text saying to never call or text him again etc and that I'm a "drug abuser". For taking a benadryl and getting a little sleepy. I was a bit frightened by his extreme reaction but soon forgot about him. Two weeks later he texts me out of the blue asking how my mom is, and saying I can call him if I want. This scared me; like, why was he asking about my mom? I called my mom immediately and she said this dude had called her house and asked about me. She said he was just basically asking if I do drugs, and of course my mom told him the truth of "no". I didn't respond to his texts, and I blocked his number. Thankfully I have not heard from him since. I was afraid for awhile that it would turn into a stalking situation. This was 4 years ago and I haven't been on a single date since, and plan to never go on another date in my life. (I've had enough with the psychos out there. This was just the very last one.)

I met a guy and after a while we set up a date. He showed up to the restaurant drunk and looking like he got his clothes out of the dirty clothes hamper. I didn’t want to be rude so I stayed. He started getting loud and belligerent, slurring his words, claiming he can’t find his wallet and being extremely rude to the wait staff. I was so embarrassed and I couldn’t take it anymore so I told him I had an early morning, paid the check and left. He harassed me on the phone for months calling from different numbers. He finally stopped after I finally responded telling him he was an obvious alcoholic that needed rehab and to grow up.
