Great ideas! I keep my quotes in Notion and usually do a little journaling about my own thoughts and how it applies to my life underneath. Back in my 20’s i kept scrapbooks which were really commonplace books - so many quotes decorated with inspiring images from magazines or printed off from the internet. All my visual inspo is kept on Pinterest these days. I do miss having the physical books sometimes! They got nice and chunky from all the glue stick and paper, making a crispy noise as you turned the page. Really nice to sit down and flip though and get that inspiration “high” in the morning.

Thank you for this pleasant video! Your ideas were a lot of fun to follow, and I’m especially appreciative of your message at the end. You expressed something that I really needed to hear-that doing something, anything, that you like is enough, regardless whether it has been done before or not. I am extremely touched. Thank you 🙏

I've been keeping a commonplace book since childhood never knowing it had a name. Thanks for highlighting the value of sharing it.

Amazing. Explains why it’s been such a popular idea for literally thousands of years!

Hi! Can you please provide a link to the podcast that you mentioned? I don’t see it on KZitem (maybe I’m writing it wrong)

Enjoyed your thoughts, comments and suggestions! I don't see that camera icon in my Notes app on my iPhone. I can take a photo and poush it into Notes, but I am not able to take a photo form Notes.

Same, it takes a photo, but I can do that with my camera. It doesn’t really seem to scan.

Oh hey! I was going to ask if you’ve ever read Boethius. And if you haven’t - I really highly recommend it! We need more Boethius in this day and age.

Just listened and I really enjoyed the episode. I especially liked the comparison to Job, which I hadn’t thought of. Anthony Esolen is doing a book club and they’re reading Boethius right now. There are some really interesting lectures up about it right now and I believe there are more to come.
