Today I am making some fresh out of the oven, mouth watering , Buttermilk Biscuits with just 3 ingredients!!!
Simple, easy, and so fluffy and moist it just melts in your mouth; Perfect at any meal, for a beginner Baker and new at making Biscuits!!!

2 cups self rising flour
1/2 cup cold lard
1 cup cold buttermilk
Preheat Oven to 450 Degrees
In a large bowl, add flour and stir or whisk until well combined. Next add in the lard and using a pastry cutter or fork, cut the lard in until reaches coarse crumbs. Add in the cold buttermilk and stir until well incorporated (It will be a wet and sticky). Pour the dough onto a lightly floured surface, knead a few times then flatten the dough about 3-6 times to create layers. Using a glass or biscuit cutter, cut them into biscuits (do not twist) and place them on a 9-inch cookie sheet line with parchment paper (it will make 6-8 biscuits). Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and brush the top with melted butter. Serve with maple syrup, jelly, honey, and enjoy!
Optional: During the last minute or two, brush the biscuits with melted butter then place them under the broiler for a few seconds but keep an eye on them because they will brown quickly.
Tip: If the dough is too warm, place it in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes.
