As soon as I saw Chuck making eggs and the way the two other people were standing around the kitchen I knew this was a homage from the ending scene of the movie Big Night. Perfectly done by Giamatti. Watch the original. It’s great.

I love this scene so much, at first I thought it was building tension for something horrific to happen, but it's such a nice break in the drama, showing a normal moment from their life, sort of outside the TV show. Like what happens in between scenes.

Not since Rei and Asuka rode an elevator. The level of confidence it takes for a writer, director and show runner to do this has to be staggering. Very well done. Edit: After finishing the season and thinking a little more on it. This scene has meaning. Anyone who thinks it doesn’t missed it. The meaning is all about trust. Unlike his relationship of convenience with Axe earlier in the series, Chuck actually likes Prince, considers him a friend and trusts him. Anyone who knows the show knows these connections never last long but for right now there is trust and friendship. You don’t invite someone you don’t trust to have breakfast with your child in your home. Did it need three and a half minutes? Probably not, but it’s a nice touch. I also suspect most of the scene was improvised.
@lolpaladins

They said it made them uncomfortable or feel cringed. No sarcsm just wonder, what made them didn't like it? is it because it poorly mimic some scene of other movie? or really just it doesn't fit for the pace of the entire show, or it seems too intentional to be high?
