68 go to gym 8:30 to noon 4 days a week. Stretch first 30 min then do 40 minute kick your butt cycling class. Lift weights 11/2 hours finish with more cardio. Going elk hunting in Colorado wilderness solo for 2 weeks with a bow. Every afternoon at 3:30 I ruck for an hour up and down hills and steps. Staying fit is a life style I love and hiking in the mountains it doesn’t get any better. Start slow and work yourself into a great hiker. 🦌🏔️🏕️

Paces and distances are much more determined by the individual’s fitness and experience than their age. Sure, everyone slows with age but some slow more or less quickly than others. Basically, do what feels good and works well for you. Don’t use the trail as a proxy to chase youth, it will not be caught anywhere you find yourself awake!

Static stretching should ONLY be done AFTER a warm up. This could cause injury otherwise. If your muscles are cold I'd highly recommend DYNAMIC stretches. I have pulled a calf muscle in the past - not fun and LONG recovery.

That block was not 45 degrees. Looked closer to 30.

You're right. I got out my protractor and measured it at 25 degrees (can you tell I'm an engineer). Good catch!

Good tips for us old guys. But I have to say, more Cutie would really improve the video.
