I love your enthusiasm for the subject. I think I've already been doing this. I can so relate to your low priority on clothing. I can go an entire year or more without buying any new clothes or used for that matter. And I love thrift store shopping. If I can find something in good condition for a fraction of the new price, I don't care if someone else owned it before me. However it is top priority for me to have a reliable vehicle (that I partly use for business) so I don't mind having a car payment on a new car.

Thank you Diana! That's great that you can save on what doesn't matter to you and spend on what does!!

Yes! It's a total eye-opener! I had a blog reader tell me years ago that until she recorded everything she had no idea that it was a chocolate covered raisin addiction that was busting her budget!

Great video! Thanks for sharing your perspective! Being cheap is about spending less even if it sacrifices quality, value, and time in order to cash in on some short-term savings. Cheap people settle, because to them money spent is money gone. When you are being cheap you are not cheating anybody but yourself. A frugal person thinks ahead; the frugal person plans, budgets and creates a road map to your destination. Being frugal is about prioritizing your spending so that you can have more of the things you really care about.

Yes! I agree, I think it's definitely a short-term vs long-term trade-off.

Frugal is my jam too!! LOL!!! Totally agree that we like spending on priorities and saving on others. My husband used to build his own computers too so that made me laugh.

This is the "frugal for dummies" version and I love it. It sounds very doable and not the rigid way I've tried and failed at! I love your videos and hope to see many more!
