I had my hair transplant at Vera clinic 3 months ago and I am starting to see hair coming. They said I got 3000 grafts, even though originally they said I would have needed only 2300. When I came back to US a dermatologist told me that the number of grafts implanted looked much less than 3000. In many blogs I see people commenting that Vera clinic tends to exaggerate the number of grafts they’re actually implanting.
@ArizonaGrapeade

Not all clinics, but many especially in turkey cut grafts (ex. 3 hair graft, they cut into a two hair and a single) and count as two separate grafts.
@amitposthair

I think they do exaggerate the amount, but in all honesty there is no way for us to tell. We as patients just have to accept it and hope that it works out well. A lot of people tell me my first transplant was less than 6100 grafts but i just had to go with that number as that was what was told to me. Whatever the case is though, i saw results and i think at the of the day that's what matters!

Hi my friend , your videos are very informative. Thank you for posting. I have had the first transplant in Turkey 6 months ago. I am thinking to go for the second one this coming December to do the Crown area. My question is while I am doing the crown , can I retouch the front part , and how do they do that, is it an FUE. My second question, do you recommend using Rogaine for density purposes as I feel my hair after the procedure is not that dense. I am using now vitamins , medical hair spray I was given there against hair loss and Serum with Derma Roller.

yes! you can get the front retouched. I did that too. i got my crown down along with some parts of my midscalp and hairline. They did it with FUE as well. As for rogaine, you can definately use it after a month of you transplant to help enhance your existing hairs to grow to add more density.

Why is there no hair growth in the crown area? Did you not have a hair transplant in that area or did the transplanted hairs fall out? I'm concerned about the lack of hair on the crown. I haven't seen many people with a successfully restored crown. Do you know the reason behind this?
@amitposthair
Жыл бұрын
crown growth generally takes much longer to grow! This is actually pretty standard with the timing. You'll usually start seeing some sort of substantial growth after the 5th month. And generally, crown restortation is always less successful compared to a hairline or midscalp due to the way our scalps respond to a hair transplant

Hi Amit..I have been following your channel for sometime now.. I had a transplant 4 months ago at Vera clinic, and I have been comparing the time lines of my results with yours in the two transplants you had.. I got 6200 grafts but I got a feeling that Vera clinic lies about the number of grafts.. I had a single 6 hour session and I think it is impossible to transplant that many grafts in that time based on the experience many others have shared where they got half the grafts and still took that long...Also, when I was checking with other clinics in Turkey, most of them recommended a two day session for anything over 4.5K grafts..
@lsatutube
Жыл бұрын
Without a doubt they lie about number of grafts. 6k grafts in a session leads to less survival rate as well even if that's true. I guess it would be 4-4.5k grafts when they say it is 6k and 3k when they say 4k lol! It's all business big time!!!

its because i get prescribed 5mg tablets (its cheaper that way), then i cut it into 4's with a pill cutter! Hence it becomes 1.25mg. My doctor's told me that the extra 0.25 would not have a substantial difference so its perfectly fine to take that much

My suggestion to you would be switch to Propecia or proscar. The effects are night and day compared to generics. And when time comes to settle, freeze sperm just in case you have trouble to conceive. Being close to Norwood 6 and above you will suffer if a situation arises where you have to come off.

@@sandeepsmatharu it reduces sperm volume (not count). Which is troublesome. But also closer to time you may want to come off to be safe once you read literature. Hence it’s best to not have a HT until your 40 or past that stage in life. HT results are not permanent and rely heavily on medication. And if you have to stop that medication albeit temporarily you will lose hair which will be very difficult to get back in this persons case as he is a Norwood 6 plus. His HT journey has just started, and he needs to pay a decent doctor to analyse his donor as to me it’s considerably over harvested.
