Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!
A great day to fly again at Giga Texas and to kick off the weekend! A lot of interesting news details and developments today, including three new land clearing locations, large pipe deliveries to these locations, Boring Company tunnel developments on both sides of the highway, new asphalt application on the southeast corner of the main factory building, and a discussion about 52 electrical transformers.
In the video introduction, I delve deep into the electrical conduit installation on the north end and the new concrete structure that now has cable trays being installed on the floor next to the four conduit risers. This may be a bridging structure to route the conduit over a large underground gas pipe in this area. I also discuss the three new clearing locations with several high-resolution images, and I show the pipes being delivered near the middle-west staging location with the two large tents.
In addition, I fly over to the west material staging location where the 52 transformers are being temporarily stored and then I look at the south Colorado River clearing, which is near the powerplant. Finally, I show several high-resolution images and narration about the new asphalt paving underway on the southeast corner of the extension near the cooling plant.

A few other highlights from today to look for:
The Bag House Filtration plant continues assembly of pipes, ductus, funnels & what looks to be some kind of cutoff manifolds on two of the inlet ductwork coming from the south filtration unit. The rebar apron slab area north of the plant continues to take shape, along with what appears to be a rail loading system and a central structure. Some mud-base has been poured in the central area and additional rebar work is visible. My guess is all concrete will be poured in this area next week.
I show views into the south extension of the work associated with the Boring Tunnel exit in this part of the factory, and we see a ground material (might be asphalt or concrete (hard to tell with lighting) near the entrance. On the west side tunnel entrance, three ring sections were recently removed, and excavation work has occurred around the new entrance ring. Other concrete blocks associated with the initial tunnel boring operations and the TBM thrust ring are also being removed. To the south, we see the removed concrete liners stacked and waiting for removal from the site.
