Thank you so much for this video, your work is amazing and it's really helpful for someone like me that struggles with backgrounds to watch a professional artist working and see how they approach the painting process, the colors, the shapes. Incredible job and incredibly useful to watch.

Marvellous work, you are truly an accomplished artist. It is difficult to pick a favourite, all three pictures are brilliant, but if I had to choose one aspect I particularly like how you handle the contrast between the bright sunlight and shade in the second (Spider-Man) study. :)

I would say backgrounds are my greatest weakness if I didn't have so many weaknesses. I have no idea if you have the time to read and reply to comments on KZitem but can I ask as it wasn't in the video....What "specifically" did you learn from doing these? I understand the broad spectrum of "urban" scenes, but having done them what did you learn about painting urban scenes? What were you looking at in detail, why did you chose these scenes to study from? All the pieces were amazing but the final one was my favourite because of the mood and focal point being in juxtaposition.

Hello Laura, there is no denying that you are truly a talented artist. I am halfway through the 2nd picture and I am not interested in watching much more. If you do not share your journey, tell me what your doing, why you are making the choices you are making I have no real interest in watching someone paint another “pretty” picture! If I want to look at pictures I will look in a museum or online. I am interested in watching artists who will help me continue on my journey, because if your not learning your not progressing forward in your own life/art journey. I like both traditional and digital works Please consider giving your viewers some context and a view to who you are, I know this is a more complex video but watching someone draw to “elevator”music is NOT what I want to spend my time doing. I left this comment because I have enjoyed some of your other videos, I do not believe that you deserve a thumbs down but I cannot leave a thumbs up either. Good Luck for your future success and videos. Happy Holidays!

These are lovely! I really like your clever work methods with the pen. I have seen you take away "negative shapes" with them before. And you have such an eye for shapes! Also, did you quit the overlay and multiply layers and go for hardcore pure colours?! Nice! I love seeing you work! I was thinking about these exercises too, glad to see they're "a thing". Love your work! Know you're busy and working so hard! Thank you so much!

Honest to God it looks like you color picked. It looks that much realistic. Please share some guideline how to understand what color would go where. If you tell me to do quick studies I am willing to do it everyday for next 365 days. But i strongly believe that just copying won't help you until you know what's happening and why/where the color+saturation is changing and how much. I have a better understanding of value than of color and saturation. Please could you share some guidelines that will help?

Incredible. The Sense8 one was my favorite, but only because I love water reflections and the light glow details, those are always my favorite parts of those kinds of scenes. I'd love to see a normal-speed video where you talk about your basic technique and approach to this kind of work, like decomposing the scene into chunks, how to build up detail and refine from a basic sketch to a completed painting. Apologies if that exists on your channel, I couldn't find anything like that.
