Is there something about the carnivore diet that makes people want to move away from it in spite of realizing health benefits while on that WOE? I've seen this several times as I research carnivore, so it's made me curious.

@AmericaCirclingTheDrain It's restrictive, there's no arguing that. You don't get as much sensory input from tastes, and textures. That being said, it is satisfying enough that many people just need a small bit of motivation to keep from eating things that hurt them.

@@AmericaCirclingTheDrain It requires a lot of self-discipline. It's also socially unacceptable, so there is always a peer pressure to eat, "normally" again. Plus, even though KZitem carnivores to on and on about how they've never liked vegetables... I love them. I've always loved them. I've actually never liked beef, I've always found beef off-putting. Now I eat 1 pound of beef per day, between 6 and 12 egg yolks depending on how hungry I am...everything cooked in Tallow. No dairy, no vegetables, no fruits, no sugar, no fake sweeteners, no kooky whacky chemicals... Just beef, salt, egg yolks, water, and black decaf coffee. I intend on cutting the black coffee, but it's such a comfort drink for me... I've tried to quit already 6 or 7 times, and will keep trying.

Dropped 40 pounds and totally reversed metabolic syndrome (a condition of insulin resistance that increase risk of atherosclerotic heart disease by 600%) by four months. Medications are not the solution. Your body needs the proper nutrition to heal. Everyone needs to do their own research on how you can gain optimal metabolic health this year. No gimmicks, no supplements, just a meaty diet. Thanks Bella for a brief summary to help educate those looking for real solutions based on human physiology and proper nutrition.

Many people do not understand the healing process. For a time you may indeed not feel well as your body chemistry adjusts. Yeast die off, your liver will start working and your gut may go through some major changes all of which can be uncomfortable. Some people will read this discomfort as "this isn't working for me" and go back to old habits.

Having the ability to control your own health is paramount. Look at people who use (external) control for weight loss, an example would be new shots for weight loss that causes some people to vomit multiple times a day which will dissolve teeth and lead to millions of people needing dental work. Put control of your health back in your own hands (internal).

64yo Female. Carnivore over 4 months. Strict carnivore! I don’t even drink coffee anymore. No dairy. I follow Dr Berry’s eating recommendation and only eat when I’m hungry and stop eating when I can’t eat another bite. Lost 14lbs, fasting insulin is 3.7, no more aches/pains, digestive issues gone. However, for the last 6 weeks I feel fatigued, have no stamina, and in the past 3 weeks have had several bouts of severe lightheadedness upon standing that would not stop until I laid down. I just had my blood tested this week and find my A1C has gone up from 6.3 in 10/2023 to 6.4 5/2/2024, I have uric acid crystals, red blood cells, leukocytes, & yeast in my urine. I am anemic. How?! 90% of what I eat is beef! And did I mention I don’t feel well? I’m SO incredibly discouraged and dismayed at these results. I don’t know where to go from here. Any suggestions?

Allow me to ask a couple of question about the Carnivore diet : I am now over 100 days into a Strick Carnivore diet (I only eat meat and eggs. Nothing else 400-500 g of cocked meat plus 7-8 eggs a day. Divided in 2 meals) I am now 34 years old, 181cms tall, 180lbs(+-81,5kg) at +-20%BF. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week.(lift weigths to help sustain or increase muscle mass and assist fat loss) I started the Carnivore diet to improve my body composition. I was a HEALHTY guy with NO chronic illnesses or health problems. I lost about 15 lbs in the first 6 weeks (Mostly water) but since then I haven't been able to change my body composition. I have now gone more than 6 weeks without registering any body changes (weight loss, decrease in BF% or measurements) I still need to lose at least another 15lbs of fat to reach my goal of being below 15%BF. However, I don't see how the Carnivora Diet will facilitate this process. I have not experienced most of the benefits common to Carnivores (Improved sleep, more energy/disposition, etc.) nor can I change my body composition. So I would like to ask more experienced Carnivores: 1- How long should I extend my experience with the Carnviroa diet to be able to lose the excess bodyfat I still have?(at least 15lbs of fat) 2- What is the minimum time you should maintain a Carnivora diet when it is not working for you? Thank you for your attention

I’m wanting fruit or something refreshing and different. Struggling emotionally. I’d love to hear back from you…needing done encouragement please. God bless you all.

Been on carnivore for over a month to hopfully fix my autoimmune symtoms. Gained a ton of weight, I can't sleep, I wake up after two hours. I have a lot of anxiety which I had before but not to these levels. My autoimmune symptoms do not seem to be getting better. I am miserable and exhausted. I am over eating. My food was already limited before so I was not eating sugar. LMNT makes me feel sick. I eat high fat all day and in the middle of the night. My temperature is a lot hotter and I can't lift any weights. My period, which is like clock work, is all over the place. Binge eating is the same. When is it time to call this magical diet quits. I am following the rules.

Eating carnivore almost killed me - that after 5 weeks of this diet i ended up in hospital … all started with me having diarrhea , being tested that i have sibo .. for 6 weeks i tried low fodmap diet it did not help , then i switched to keto diet for a month , it neither did any good , i had 8-9 time diarrhea a day , last thing i did was carnivore diet , consuming mostly beef lamb and eggs with gee since i am lactose intolerant, my diarrhea increased my brain fog increased , i could not sleep even thought i added electrolytes and salt .. i started eating lean to stop diarrhea never helped .. i dropped from 81 kg to 63 with 192 cm height , i could not walk any more .. whoever says carnivore diet is ultimate remedy for gut problems is at least ignorant , there should be some better studies , now i am just trying to survive eating boiled vegetables at hospital

Have you tried taking digestive enzymes and HCL? I have poor digestion. Couldn't eat any meat for a while. It all ended in a cramping diarrhea. Funny, I remembered how coke dissolves meat, and started drinking diet coke with meat or cheese meals. Couldn't believe it worked. I was low on stomach acids.

I’m a man in my mid 20’s Started carnivore January 5th weighing 210 pounds and by February 28th I weighed 182! I mostly eat ribeye steaks one in the morning and one at night. I throw in bacon and pork rinds from the brand 4505 occasionally. I eat lots of butter and salt. Sometimes I feel like I need to expand my diet but I feel pretty good everyday. I can workout for long periods of time and not get tired.

I do drink coffee with organic heavy whipping cream too. Unfortunately I still drink it with stevia I know I should get off it but I never crave sugar or carbs so in that way it’s not a problem

Im glad for anyone who has found a diet that works for them, but veggies and fruit do not spike blood sugar. Also, there is zero human evidence of leaky gut or harm from lectin rich foods or other standard vegetables. If carnivore works for you, i love that, but let's not argue for a diet by lying about others.

Carnivore diet cured my acid reflux, got rid of all my inflammation, lost all extra weight and greatly improved my mind, body and sleep function. Tried introducing veggies, grains and wheat back into my diet 6 months in, and my inflammation came back, heartburn and bloating all came back immediately. Die hard carnivore now and have never felt this good since I was a young man.

I'm going to be perfectly honest with you I was on the carnivore diet many many years ago I didn't feel any different because I was eating regular meats and they didn't make me feel any different now I will I'm on this new carnivore diet I'm following a health doctor that believes food is medicine which I believe also because the power of God is in the food and I'm eating strictly only food that God would eat it's basically grass-fed grass finished red meat liver organs butter eggs and all the other kind of good stuff that carnivores eat put everything is grass-fed grass finished wild caught in fish and when I start at the grass-fed grass finished pasteurized eggs is when I started really really feeling good and feeling a difference in my health

After six months on carnivore I still haven't experienced reversal of any of my major health problems, only minor improvements which mean a lot but don't improve my health in general. Maybe this is because I'm still struggling to get more fat into my stomach without feeling sick afterwards. Or maybe it's because at age 70, after a lifetime of low fat low protein eating, my body is more damaged than other people's and I need to wait longer for carnivore to work for me.

Absolutrely. Carnivore got me off HB meds. My cholestrol is a little higher but HDL is up, yay, and triglicerides is lower. I quit taking statins and feel much better. Also have reversed type 2 diabetes. Cholesterol is not the enemy, sugar and carbs are the enemies!!!
