This is the monologue that I used for my Romeo and Juliet audition, and after a session with you, I got Juliet! The show was in February and has been my favorite show to be a part of thus far :)

Hi Sarah! I really love your videos and find them to be super helpful. I have an audition coming up for Ophelia in Hamlet. Are there any monologues you would recommend?

Desdemona has a similar kind of quality, or Imogen from Cymbeline has some good ones! Even Helena from All's Well That Ends Well - I love her monologue "Til I have no wife, I have nothing in France". I have a breakdown of that one here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/mLCK2XqZhpaFgKQ

Hello. I'm commenting to ask you if you could list some action driven Shakespeare monologues for women. Please I will need this for an audition. 🥰 🙏🏼

Hi Anaya, sorry for the slow reply. This is a tricky question to answer as most of Shakespeare's monologues are action driven. A general tip is to avoid doing monologues from Act 1 of any of the plays, as they tend to be more about establishing what's happening rather than driving the action. You might like these videos for some ideas: kzitem.info/news/bejne/p6tutaqaaap9Z44 kzitem.info/news/bejne/y6p_qWV9pIx6o4I Or otherwise I do half hour coaching sessions to help with monologue selections. You can find out more about that here: www.shakespearewithsarah.com/coaching
