Just spent this last week at the Courtyard Marriot King Kamehameha. We picked it to save a bit of cash rather than going to the Hilton. There were a few downsides, but all the restaurants less than .5 mile walk away was a huge perk. There was a street market last Sunday that allowed us to get Hawaiian made souvenirs. And we were blessed with a rainbow during the luau. Also Ululani’s shaved ice is awesome!!!

Wow that place looks like it has almost everything and the decor and design are fantastic! That reno definitely paid off. We're already putting it on the list. I read that you were gathering this footage in late March which must have been around the time my wife and I bumped into you guys while in Kona. We've actually just returned a few days ago from another visit to Ka'anapali and had yet another great time. Please keep posting this valuable info as it's highly appreciated! BTW young Mr. Henry and Miss Edie are growing up way too fast!

@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Again, Mahalo for posting. Ka'anapali was great even though Tropical Storm Calvin made our last day kinda wet. We didn't care tho!

I just stayed there for the last two days of my honeymoon last week and I must say everything was fantastic! They upgraded us to an oceanfront view room for free. You were right on about the design of the resort! My husband and I took lots of pictures so we can incorporate elements of the resort in our home. We had dinner with friends at Canoe House and had room service in the morning, and the breakfast I believe was also prepared by Canoe House. On our last day, we went snorkeling near the club house. It was some of the best snorkeling I've done in Hawaii. This was definitely a splurge, but so worth it!!

My cousin just got married there end of June. We grabbed an airbnb in the area as the hotel was a bit too pricey for us. Was a beautiful resort though to visit.

Congrats to your cousin. Lots of vacation rentals nearby, especially in Waikoloa Beach. A good option indeed

Hi. Love all your videos and this one is right on time for my current dilemma. We are trying to decide between Mauna Lani Kona and Four Seasons Oahu. If the choice were based solely on hotel which would you choose? We’ve been to both islands before so the decision is strictly which hotel is best.
@TheHawaiiVacationGuide

We would choose Mauna Lani on Hawaii. Four Seasons Ko Olina is great but it feels busier, especially with Disney next door.

@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Thank you for the insight! We’ve been to Four Seasons Oahu but never Mauna Lani. Very curious whether ML is as relaxing and calm as the 4S. Sounds like it is! Aulani didn’t affect our 4S stay but it did crowd the beach. Is Mauna Lani area walkable like the lagoons are? We really enjoy walking the lagoons in the morning with our boys (10 & 14) and our coffee. Our goal on vacay is chill, chill, chill and hope for some good vegetarian food options. I should note both of our stays on Kona in the past were at Waikoloa Marriott and we didn’t have a car so we’ve never explored the island. Getting a car this next trip!

Are there rooms available that go directly on to the beach?
@TheHawaiiVacationGuide

Yes and no, they have ground floor rooms that walk out onto the beach but there is a footpath and a little lawn between the resort and the beach.

They need to seclude selective months for adults only. Young children will never remember their stay anyway.

Now I would never dine there knowing the food quality is inconsistent. Dining is so expensive better to go elsewhere. Hope you left a comment for the resort so they can improve on this. probably a matter of staff.

Yes the prices are already high up nowadays and The Mauna Lani is way to high priced for most of us I guess. No way I will or can spend that much money on a resort…. 😢
