LOVE classic solitaires to keep the center stone as the focal point. So elegant :)

I've never been a fan of solitaires. I could not imagine looking at just the one stone all the time no matter how large or pretty it is, this would be boring to me. You can have the center stone as the main focal point and still have side stones that accent and showcase the center stone. I like a setting that is not over done but has something going on so I can see beauty at all angels of the ring with side stones and artistic cuts in the platinum or gold.

I wanted a certain karat weight. By getting a Solitaire, I got the Karat weight without having a bunch of diamond chips contributing. A 1 karat solitaire vs 1 karat halo? Solitaire always looks better! (& is worth more, if you care about that kind of thing)

Are solatier real diamonds?

Interesting question. You can have a solitaire of any type of stone. All it means is that it is the only stone in the ring. It is not a type of diamond but rather a style of setting.

Solitaire is for resale value . Moissanite has no resale value .

Actually, it has slight resale vale, that is, resale is a reasonable percentage of the already reasonable original sale cost.

Depends where you buy it. I have a friend who bought a $1000 moissanite ring 1.5ct wt back in 2018. It is now appraised to $2500. Moissanite is getting more popular now.

Your comment makes no sense. "Solitaire" is a style of setting meaning only one stone, it is not the name for a diamond. You can have a solitaire with any kind of stone.

@EPICWILDETAILING appraised and reselling price are very different. Pretty much all stones including diamonds should not be considered an investment, gold is though. You'll never get anywhere near what paid for your stone.
