I would suggest if you want to strengthen your overall polyphonic singing that you learn the kargyraa singing and then you combine the tongue positions of sygyt or polyphonic with the more guttural kargyraa, this way you are working on both types of singing and that can push you into developing a stronger voice for your polyphonic. It is also important to lean into the sound you are trying to create and (especially for sygyt) to project the sound through the nose, which gives you much more of that "wind over the mouth of a bottle" sound that polyphonic singers are always trying to develop. By pushing your breath pressure and your sound into your nose you also have more space to create your sound. If you imagine your throat and mouth as the body of the bottle and then your nasal cavity as the throat and lip of the bottle and then polyphonic singing as trying to work out how best to blow across the top to create resonance. Practicing alternating between your throat voice and your nose voice will also strengthen the muscles that you are using. You have lovely tone, you just have to learn how to generate the right breath pressure.

Hi Emm, love your content! I have a kinda wierd question for you and your veiwers. Ok now let's open our minds. Do you think this ability we have is a remnants of an Anceint sound language or some other form of communication we humans used to use? I used my Dolpin Voice to activate my computer by substitution of sound samples in windows. Cool hu? I would love to Tone with you someday! ☮️

hi thank you so much for this, this is so helpful and your voice is beautiful!! I hope you don't mind me asking what system you use when you are performing online live sessions? I am a vocal overtone healer and doing this online in sessions is proving challenging with a microphone and zoom alone. The sustained notes can fade out or not be consistent. Would there be an interface that I could use or alternative tech that you could recommend? Thank you so much :-)

Hello Emm, I can't wait to try these new techniques. I squeezed my nose during a fundamental note practice just now. Everything stopped! I'm doing something wrong? But I'm still teaching notes and volumes that are pleasing to me. Ok, I've suggested using instruments like the Japanese Koto stringed instrument as a done. Now go out in nature and find a willing band member. I found a Golden Tree Frog near my mountain cabin that will actually sing his droning note while I play along!! Fun stuff Thank You Emm!

Hi Timber, I trust you have been well! It usually means you are producing sound in a more nasal way as opposed to diaphragm :) How is your practice going? xx

Hi Emme, nice to hear your still here! My practice has been rewarding, thank you! I recently tried using these techniques while I was sick with bronchial numonia. I think the vibrations helped to clear my lungs and airway and lead to a more speedy recovery. Yea!! Amazingly I felt so much better after I sang. I hope your well, ☮️
