Thanks for sharing this video! My biggest takeaway is taking accountable for your actions. Stop blaming others or anyone. Accept that it’s your responsibility.

Im at 1:22 right now. And in that short span of time, i was like “You sound like my Dad”. I turned 33 last January and I think your just a few ages older. But damn 😘 When you said, " Dont let things outside you control you. You are infinite" I almost burst out crying. I cant cause Im having lunch in tropical hot summer Manila right now Thank you for reminding me of this. I love you. Not in the romantic sense but as a person. My Dad's still 65 and this reminded me of him when I heard it. Have a great rest of the day 😁

Blaming someone (including yourself) is not the same as taking responsibility. You can take responsibility for things you care about and for things that aren't your fault. Blaming yourself for stuff gone wrong is not healthy and puts too high demands on oneself. Not everything is in our controll. All we can choose is the things we care about and live by them.

Great video Kerwin, I would like to be devil's advocate since I have experienced this situation... Unfortunately when you work with other people, mistakes happen. When you say "I messed up, it's all my fault" even when several people messed up - just to move forward and stop the finger pointing. The managers go "Yeah it was your fault Jack, you're fired!" No letter of reference, no phone reference, and they will likely put a bad mark on your ROE. Jobless with shitty recent references, not a great place to be. What is your advice for that Kerwin?

you claim responsibility before reaching that point by cleaning up the mistakes before managament can get involved. Given that you cannot/did not do the previous and have management on your doorstep, you would keep quiet. Claiming responsibility /=/ claiming fault. Assuming you know management is feeling prickly and only looking for a scape goat, you wouldn't offer yourself up on a silver platter, that would be social suicide. And therefore, you getting metaphorically thrown under the bus would be your own fault.

Hey Kerwin, why do you fail at consistently living the 3 simple truths? Or do you believe that that state is not unobtainable?

Thanks Kerwin Rae, Yes I do accept that I do attend to blame other people, and not accept that is my fault where we are accountable for our own actions

I truly understand and I truly get it (now) lol. I blamed a lot of misfortune on others for things I have suffered. I realize it was me who allowed it in my life. I truly believe had I made my (own) different choices and took responsibility earlier on in my life I may have avoided a lot of bullshit. The good thing is, it's never too late to start, thank you for your common sense truths! Appreciate your help
