Not really. The succes of youtube comes from it's many users and many channels. There are so many channels that there is probably at least something to love for everyone, if all youtube vids were the same, that would result in only a select group of people using youtube, making not only the owners of youtube lose their income, but also a lot of youtubers who previousely made videos for an audience of their own, but now have to share a select audience with all other youtubers. So not only is your idea terrible, it has the potential to destroy the ways of living of hundreds of people. Believe me, you don't want that kind of blood on your hands. Just hope it never happens.

Things that I have concluded about wormholes: 1) You need both ends to be open(as in you can't just open a wormhole from here to there without opening one there) If this weren't true then we'd have wormholes opening up everywhere from other universes/times/places.... we don't see this happen. 2) They may be impossible... as in: Space-Time doesn't work that way 3) One side will emit radiation while the other will absorb (vise versa)... because of matter/energy can't just disappear... lets just say an object from 2015 goes to 2100... 2015 will emit a radiation of equivalent mass to that object while in 2100 the wormhole will absorb the equivalent mass of that object... this can either be bad or ok...and the energies might be drawn from the same source keeping it open idk... These are just opinions of course
@gabebereal792
2 жыл бұрын
your third point is actually pretty interesting to note. although its not as complicated as it sounds, conservation of energy is useful to bring up here. It can also just be rethought as: I was somewhere before, but now im here. technically, i disappeared - removing my energy from a location. im not gone though. im just somewhere else. because i moved myself, I subtracted my energy from the past location and added the same amount of energy to a different location. whether that is bad or good depends on your goals. is it good that I moved? should I have stayed? that's up to me. I can travel back in time, but that means I won't exist in the future present. Like all things, I only exist in the present present.
@MCNarret
2 жыл бұрын
@@gabebereal792 I guess it really depends though on whether or not time travel breaks the closed system. My greatest issue with time travel and the conservation of energy is best exemplified with duplication. Duplication via paradoxes: Suppose relativity applies to causality allowing for disagreements on history between the time traveler and the world, and I have a wormhole that leads to 10 seconds into the past, where it is perceived as two wormholes, the left one leads to 10 seconds into the future, the second one leads to 10 seconds into the past. Like: ... BA CB DC ED ... If I had a gold bar sitting there for a while, and I go down two iterations, grab the gold bar, then go up one, grab the future of that gold bar, then go back to the present, I now have 3 gold bars. The first argument against this would be the second I open the first wormhole (furthest in the past), I step out and take the gold bar, and thus the gold bar doesn't exist in the future. But now let there be an addendum to this: If the gold bar is missing, then I don't go through it. Now we have a paradox where either I step out first and take the gold bar, but then creating a future where I don't take it because it had no future and thus I didn't go through to grab the first one. Or I don't immediately come through and end up duplicating the gold bar. This creates four strange results: Either I cannot time travel, the gold bar disappears from the timeline, I end up with 3 gold bars, or there is a multiverse of timelines. If there is a multiverse of timelines, then each instance of the wormhole would be a separate timeline, and thus conservation of energy holds because the universe is no longer a closed system. The least violations are found in the first and last options: Either there is no time travel, or there are timelines.
@MCNarret
2 жыл бұрын
Furthermore this same dilemma is exemplified in a non-thermodynamic paradox: Suppose I had a bit that could be 1 or 0, and a time machine that can flip that bit 10 seconds into the past. I use the time machine to flip the bit by reading the current bit and changing the one in the past to the opposite. What bit is it? It's a loop. But time must progress, so you have two possibilities, the one where it is 1, and the one where it is 0. Since time must progress, and both have to happen, then there has to be two timelines. So it is definite: If time travel exists, then there have to be timelines, or time travel does not exist.
@Q.T-T

Nice one dude
@gabebereal792

@@MCNarret i feel very strongly that there are multiple timelines. once you see "the future" or experience different time, you have entered a new timeline. paradoxes arent real because they cant exist. time travel exists.

I love the fact you took the time to calculate the relativistic factors for walking and standing up. This kind of accuracy would be very helpful if you could do an accurate version of the twins paradox, where the effects are opposing: going fast makes you younger (time is slower), but if you have to accelerate, and also accelerating when turning around you age faster (similar to being near the earth). I am told the accelerations are small corrections to the problem, but I haven't seen a reliable calculation. & as you say, this is just the convenient simple fiction that gets repeated by people who don't know more. Please, Please, make an accurate analysis video of this.

Apparently the existence of negative energy is now provable and measurable. The problem is creating enough of it to do anything with and focusing it for purposeful use. Also a question: Wouldn't a mobius strip shape make it also infinite (referring to the cylinder idea)? I don't know, I just find all this fascinating and wish I'd studied physics in college as opposed to what I did...

Time travel is simply impossible because time is a human idea, not the nature of the universe. We perceive "time" as motion and give it a name. When a spaceship is moving very extremely quickly, the things on it move slower, that is all. "Time" wouldn't slow down because it does not by itself exist, it is merely a special name we give to the motions we associate with time

***** but what happens when people make time travel? well, they come back to(what we think is) present day. people make time travel then come/go to the past to what the people from the past think is their present day. because if we make time travel and go to the past then they think that that is their current time IS the current time so we change their past, changing current time.so we can't really know if people have traveled from the future unless they show them self. also, how do you know that this IS present day. because time travelers can go into the future with almost no time at all passing to the user. plus, because of my first comment with the tourists, how do we know time travel is ever invented?

Here's the thing. Here's why we can't time travel: IF you traveled over a few seconds into the future or past, the Earth would be at a relatively large disposition thanks to it's rotations/orbit, that you'd be aimlessly floating through space, or you'd crash into the Earth as it comes forward in space and hits you.
@ComfyComplex

that's assuming that 'time travel' isn't spacetime travel, both at once (or once at a time), calibrated to go where you wanted to go, when you wanted to go there. that would also imply that it could be a teleportation device as well.

Actually, with quantum physics, we know that we can create negative mass because of how when you slow down time a lot and look really close at a given area in space, you can observe photons popping into existence, and when these photons are created, an exact opposite of that photon must be created, so that the law of conservation of mass/energy isn't broken. However, while this does give us the necessary negative mass to keep a wormhole open, there are even more problems with the wormhole itself. If you want more info on this, watch the video from The Game Theorists on the science of portal.

I think it would be interesting to record the voice of astronauts in Earth, and then record the voice of them in space from Earth. If time goes a little bit faster in space, then the frequency of the voice of astronauts should be a little bit higher too, right?
@fitforsoccer000

UnholyBahamut Haha yea that makes sense. How about this analogy-- tell me if I'm making sense to you. If I weigh myself at sea level, then go to the moon and weigh myself there, I could say I've lost weight, but of course my mass is the same but the gravity is different. So when I come back to earth, I weigh just as I did before on earth. That's kind of my thinking about the clock going faster in space. It's not that time has speed up, just the measuring device for time has sped up. And when you come back to earth after being in space with a faster watch, do you travel back in time or stay in the future?

You can't just ignore paradoxes, because it is the paradoxes that prove that time travel into the past is pure nonsense. There is no way around it. Time travel into the past is impossible. Time has a single direction, and there isn't a shred of evidence to the contrary. Time may move at different speeds for different people, but everybody experiences the same present.

+ConWolf Come on guys, stop mucking around. We only have five minutes until our show's on. That's not enough time. There's always time for a song. (Huh, who is that?) Time is a tool you can put on the wall or wear on your wrist. The past is far behind us, the future doesn't exist. Oh. What's the time? It's quarter to nine, time to have a bath. What do you mean? We're already clean. Scrub, scrub, scrub, 'til the water's brown. Time is a ruler to measure the day, it doesn't go backwards, only one way. Watch it go round like a merry go round, going so fast like a merry go round. Let's go on a journey, a journey through time. It's time that's changing all the time, it's time to go to time. But we don't really want to; we're going to miss our show. DON'T BE STUPID FRIENDS! C'mon it's time to go. Time is old like the Victorian times. With cobbles and plague and speaking in rhymes. With cobbles and chimneys a simpler time. With cobbles and sawdust and batteries and slime. This tree that is old has circles inside. The tree that is older has shriveled and died. The apple that's fresh is ripe to the core and I rot over time and I'm not anymore. Time can be told by the moon or the sun but time flies fast when you're having fun. There's a time and a place for mucking around! Like birthdays and camping; I'm friends with my dad. And then what happened after the olden days? Time went new and got old like history. Stuff from the past went into a mystery. An old man died. But, look, a computer! Everything's cool, IT'S THE FUTURE! Time is now, the future anew, and look at all of the wonderful things you can do! With gadgets and gizmos and email addresses! My dad is a computer. Look at the time! It's quarter to eight, there's fish on my plate. It's twenty past day, there's fish on my tray. It's eleven to twelve, there's fish in the bath. It's nine thirty, there's fish everywhere....fish everywhere. Now you can see the importance of time. It helps us make pizza, it keeps things in line. But when did it start? And when will it stop? Time is important and I am a clock. If we run out of time, then where does it go? Is time even real? Does anyone know? Maybe time's just a construct of human perception. An illusion created by- Meh, meh, meh, meh, Meh, meh, meh, meh, Meh, meh, MEH! MEH! MEH! MEH! MEH! MEH! Sunrise, sunset night and day. The changing seasons the smell of hay. Look at your hair grow, isn't it strange? How time makes your appearance change. Make it stop! It's out of my hands, I'm only a clock. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be fine, but eventually everyone runs out of time. Do you understand now?

Time travel is literally impossible. If you assume that there is a past you can travel to then it needs to be stored. That would mean every Planck second all Matter in the universe would duplicate. One copy stays in the past the 2nd one moves forward as "current". There can be no portal or "time loop" or whatever that allows yourself to meet a past version of yourself. Because if you did, the same atoms you consist out of would exist in the same universe twice. The energy conservation rate contradicts such a thing. Every atom exist once. You can transform the energy it consist of into different things, but you cant duplicate it or remove it entirely. Because of this parallel universes can't exist either. If every decision splits the universe and creates a new one... where is the energy and matter coming from? Alternatively you could force the entire universe to reverse back to a former state and exclude yourself, but that would then not be the time travel we imagine. You would literally destroy all living things and force the matter to arrange in a way it was in the past. That would be not timetravel but just an imitation of the past. You would see matter arranged in a way it was a few years ago and the people would memorize the past as well. But you yourself did not travel.
@bigbluered2688
8 жыл бұрын
Of course parallel universes can't exist. It is in the name. Universe means "all that exists". There are not multiple All that Exists. It is a logic mistake. Though, I have to wonder what kind of method would require that you can shift your very self into a such state of quantum uncertainty that allows you to experience the universe in a different way. Perhaps an alternate universe is not stored in a physical way. I hate mixing this discussions with metaphysics, but ever since I heard about what the Higgs Boson is, I have been considering. Since you are knowledgeable about this, tell me: the Higgs Boson is a... manifestation of the Higgs Field, yes? That domain of quantum mechanics "seems" to allow conceptualization (to take a concept and give it a physical composition, form and state). Would you know if a mind could experience the same? If a field can be given a form it would not otherwise, then perhaps a human being could be resurrected with such technology. Please correct any mistakes in my line of thought.
@plasmacookiesorcerer3334

You are both thinking third-dimensionally. Time is a fourth dimension, and we cannot perceive it. We cannot perceive things that exist in higher dimensions, as we can only perceive in our 3 dimensions. If we could perceive every dimension, then we could perceive time - which would mean we could walk around in it (the same way we can walk around our 3 dimensions -length,depth,height etc.). An instance in time can be thought of (tho not 100% accurately) as an object in 3D, except, it is in 4D. Hopefully you guys understood this, which in turn, allowed you to understand taht time travel and parallel universes are possible. Also, Universe means 'all that exists' but it's just a word. We cal it the Universe, but it doesn't mean it IS the Universe. You should watch minutephysics' parallel universe videos, in which he explains it perfectly how the Universe we know, is actually the Observable Universe, and people just call it the Universe for short.
@Manuel-jr6op

+L0LWTF1337 If that were true, then the theory of relativity would have to be false. Things traveling through time more quickly than you would have to be triggering atoms which were stored in the future (hence, not yet stored at all) which would be impossible. Also, it is possible to travel backwards in time by traveling faster than the speed of light. Traveling faster than the speed of light is, in itself, impossible, but it just goes to show that atoms are not "stored" as you suggest. I'm sorry, but you are a pseudo-intellectual. Don't take that personally, take it as a way to make yourself better.

Could somebody please explain to me why the fuck people think space is tied to time in some way. I've searched the web for hours, and just about every explanation was "space exists. Time exists. It takes a certain amount of time to get from point a to point b. Einsteins theory of relativity exists. Light is also faster than other things. Therefore spacetime exists because *stops talking*" Like what the fuck kind of explanation is this? You just took 5 facts that only seem to be connected to the average person, just because you said so, they would actually have been considered to be random statements before science fiction was a thing. So you drew 5 random facts, said Space is tied to time because. (End of sentence) therefore spacetime. Logic doesnt fucking work that way. You cant draw unrelated conclusions from random facts like that. So internet, I know you probably are right about spacetime, but please give me an explanation that isn't fucking dog shit.
