Professional painters in Germany say that the entire bumper should be painted. I'm totally thrilled how you did it and then in the rainy weather outside. Great Scott!

Was that a 2K clear? Also, what was in the aerosol can at the end? I've never been able to blend a clear coat without resulting in a feathered edge. How did you do that? Great work.

Hi Scott, got a question, I have just got a DA polishing machine and want to attack the swirls on my white Porsche Boxster. Only have access to retail products so should I use a one stage like Autoglym's UHD Polishing Compound which I have to go over with two different pads per the instructions (what?!) or am I better off using a compound polish and then a finishing polish? Will likely do a wax or ceramic coating afterwards if that helps.

Would you not get a shitty finish on the very edge of bumper and wing where they meet by doing this? Would you not just pop the edge of the bumper out to get nice edge to the panels, surely you can't prep the edges enough in the gap for a perfect finish? Not hate, it's a genuine question
@markrs59

Yeah that's exactly what I thought cheers for the detailed reply 👏👏

@markrs59

@@johnsonjoseph2885 I'm not doubting the actual finish but you can be the best painter in the world but surely leaving panels butted up edge to edge in this case the bumper and wing your going to get a build up of material in between the two and you can't completely prep the very edges of the panels if the bumper is still fixed in place, potentially leading to paint or clear lifting in the future?

Does that sensor still work properly?? that really needed removing as it was not scuffed and all you did even after prep was to coat it with more layers of paint. Those sensors are specified to work with a certain amount of paint, go over that amount and it causes them to fail
@KINGVehicleDamageRepair
3 жыл бұрын
You are very wrong! Of course the sensors work, do you actually think we repair cars with no clue of what we are doing? I would suggest watching our other videos so you can educate your self around sensors.

The parking sensors will still work. When wrapping cars parking sensors are wrapped over and still work perfectly fine. Painting over them will make no difference.
