@@deesplaylists6941 Actually the boys did the 81-C routine when they appeared on the Ed Wynn Show in 1950. Larry and Shemp walked into Ed's fingers there as well.

So bad it's good..No, GREAT! Unbelievable in its insanity. At this point in their careers, Jules White and Columbia would put just about ANYTHING in front of the camera to keep cranking out the shorts, while the entire Hollywood system around them was collapsing. When the Stooges became the sole responsibility of White (after Edward Bernds left), the Stooge comedies continued to sink in quality, with the 3 guys becoming little more than buffoons, with an almost ALIEN lack of personality and humanity (UNlike Bernds' films with Shemp, when they seemed like REAL people). I'm not necessarily complaining, just pointing out the obvious. This film, "Blunder Boys" (1955..a spoof of the then popular "Dragnet"), their last wholly original Shemp film (that is, with no previously filmed footage), is so jaw-dropping-ly bizarre as to defy description. YET...I'll watch it practically anytime I need a good laugh, and a re-adjusted perspective on life. And the Stooges' shorts are near the top of my priorities..Curly, Shemp AND Joe Besser (but my interest stops dead with Joe DeRita and the feature films). "81-C" is one of their absolute low..or HIGH..points, depending on your world-view (especially when Moe wipes off his fingers). LR

Blunder Boys itself is kind of weak overall (imo), but that scene never fails to break me up.
