The lifting buddies thing is crucial. I got a new job that opened up my schedule so that I could go to the gym and work towards my goals. First day a guy asked if he could use a bench next to me. I told him for sure and that if I look like I'm doing something incorrectly, please tell me, I'm new to this. He then let me join his work out and told me anytime I'm there and he's there we can lift together. Guy is jacked and now we lift together 5 days a week. There are days where I wanted to say fuck off and not go but I knew he'd be there wondering where I was. He's said the same to me too, "I woke up late today and considered just skipping today but I knew you'd be wondering where I was." He's introduced me to his other lifting buds and they're all competent lifters. I've learned so much from them already.

@renze7133
2 жыл бұрын
@Buss it down 🍑 and here's an advantage of being a smaller guy when it comes to weightlifting: you build muscle at the same rate as the tall guy, except on you it looks much bigger. Of course, once both a tall and a shorter guy both max out their physique, the tall guy is gonna look much better, but I'd say that in the intermediate stages, the progress of a shorter guy in the gym will look much better, simply because it takes the tall guy longer to fill out his frame. Besides, as a shorter guy you will need to eat much less, another major advantage since diet is the hardest part of a fitness journey. All in all, when it comes to building muscles, being shorter might actually be an advantage.

Have a long talk with them about health and make sure they are really listening to you. If they still decide to keep their lifestyle that’s unfortunate but their decision.

Human desire is around *Health *Wealth *Happiness Talk to your parent that you want them to be healthy (health)so they can see their future (happiness) grandchildren growing up and live long enough without hospital and drugs (wealth). They will listen to you if they care but if they dont you need to find your own way

Seeing changes in the mirror after every workout is possibly the most satisfying thing ever.

The "Never big enough" thing is so true. I have 16" arms and I'm using 50lbs dumbells for my curls, which were both of my goals for arms, but I still feel small. I know I'm not small because people unprovoked say comments around me that shows me people think I'm big, but when I look in the mirror, I just don't see it. Our minds are a screwed up thing...

so true, im 14 and less than 4 months ago i was freaking obese at 210 pounds and now im at 132 with 15% body fat, and i am more insecure at my body now than i ever was. But it's good in a way that it keeps me motivated and disciplined every time i wanna skip workout session just because of some excuse.

Having to start over again with lifting after finally recovering from a ulnar nerve surgery and a quad sprain, I probably needed this video. I’m annoyed because it’s gonna take a while to get back to where I was (rehabbing, then getting back into gym form), but the surgery was necessary for me to keep progressing in my lifts. Any advice or motivation would be greatly appreciated as it’s gonna take a long time.

One tip when lifting. Leave your phone in the locker. Just relax between sets. Look up and around you. Just use that time to get away from the screen. It's a wonderful feeling.

You gave me a very good perspective and made me tear up when you said “feel your bicep, that’s flesh that’s real”. Thank you for that. My body dismorphia is worse then most, sometimes I feel great and then I’ll wonder why I look so bad. Thank you for this life changing perspective. Was watching on my tv and came to my phone to like your video. And sub.

Really agree with the point with eating with friends and family together, you don't realize but your fam really likes spending time together eating.

Currently struggling with issue no.2 at 16 and I've made a lot of progress alone so far but it's great to know someone well had this issue of thinking they're the big man as well. Any guys I know like this are like you said Hamza, cold-hearted degenerate bastards who would not be able to help me as they don't have the capability to do so.
