Did the same with my triumph bobber. No test ride. Just walked in. Loved it. Bought it. Been brilliant.

I test rode a new one of these recently and liked it so much I've put a deposit on one. The throttle was excellent IMO. In A mode it's a tiny bit snatchy but that's supposed to be the lairy mode anyway, B mode is a little bit tamer, but in C mode it's so smooth and easy that you can ride over speed bumps with the throttle open so you wrist twitches slightly and it just ignores it. 30mph in 6th gear everywhere and it didn't stutter, hiccup, lurch or so anything out of the ordinary - I was honestly amazed how good an electronic throttle can be these days. I thought I'd just leave it in A mode and leave it alone but I found myself flicking it up and down throughout the test ride. The shock isn't brilliant but that's expected on a Suzuki IMO - they embrace people modifying their bikes more so than other manufacturers, so they make the bikes cheaper so you can afford a shock and have the bike set up for your weight and riding style. I actually was quite surprised at how good the shock felt compared to all other Suzuki's I've ridden - until I watched your video and realised it'll be because I weigh 110kg without any kit on, so guessing I'd be bang on 115kg with kit. 😂 Although they may well have updated it for the 2021+ model. I think all your dislikes with it have been resolved with the 2021+ model tbh!

Yep, I agree that the new bike is a lot more refined and Suzuki have polished off some of the rough edges. Amazing what they've managed with relatively minor changes. In some ways it's a bit less of an animal!

@@UpsideDownFork Hopefully made a good choice, never bought a brand new bike before so I'm pretty nervous. 😂

@@ElMuelio I didn't ride a test bike from Suzuki, I swapped with another rider for about 10 miles. The new one is definitely a much better all rounder. I'm sure you will be very happy with your decision!

I’m looking at this. Wanting to compare against the Honda CB1000r. Close to the same on power and position. But Suzuki has more power. I love the i4 engine sound in the Honda

I think I might have told you, or maybe someone else, sorry I'm forgetful! I test rode the Honda CB1000R after I'd had the GSX-S for about 2 months. I preferred the ride of the GSX-S in pretty much every way but personally I much preferred the Honda's looks and I have a soft spot for Honda since my trusty CBR600.

Hi, I also bought my bike blind, it was during the lockdown period, mainly because it looked really good in the pictures and the reviews bigged it up🤷♂️. I got the faired version Because I ride all year round and I wanted some protection. I liked The looks of the bike and definitely the power of the bike. The rear suspension was a little bit harsh but worked well enough not to need an upgrade, I’m heavier than you but definitely not 150 kg😅. I never found the throttle a problem, in slow moving traffic I would change up a gear and ride with lower revs which calmed the twitchiness down. The two main reasons for selling the bike were I really couldn’t get comfortable on the bike even after fitting the usual mods and my ABS Was too intrusive, to the point it nearly caused a collision one time after slipping on a cat’s-eye and the bike not letting me have my brakes back quick enough 😱. I sold it and bought a GSXR 600 and a Honda NC700x . . . I regret buying the Honda, probably as much as you buying the Sinnis Apache 🫡 The Honda recently got px’d for a Hayabusa. . . a much more practical commuter bike👌🤣 Interesting video, so I’ve subscribed🤷♂️ . . . that’s just how easy I am🫣 Nice Marigolds by the way didn’t realise they did yhem in blue🤔 Ride safe or at least don’t get caught 👮🏽♂️

The white and blue has really grown on me in the end. Especially in the sun as it's a really nice pearl white.

Thank goodness the newest model is now completely resolved and doesn't suffer like this earlier model does. 👍
