Very true and good advice. Being patient. I've watched pairs of boots I've wanted and couldn't justify the price. Watched them slowly go down over a couple months and ended up sniping them. But there's a checks/balance to that. Don't wait on the pair you want for too long...someone else might be waiting and willing to offer a bit more than you want to and you end up losing in the long run after all that wait.

I really, really wanted an Omega Speedmaster Moon Watch. This is the watch worn by the early astronauts, and in fact was worn by the astronauts on the moon missions. A new one was beyond my price range. Used ones were still very pricey. I found mine, with box and papers, on eBay by a seller who used a slight misspelling in the description, so it wasn't showing up in most searches. It was still expensive, but a couple of "hunderd" 😉 bucks less than others in similar (like new) condition. Diligent searching is indeed the way to go. Great video!

Being consistent and persistent is also important. The more often you look the more chances of finding deals. I hear people all the time say they never find deals. Well, how often are you looking? I search almost every day sometimes a couple times a day. I have found some GREAT deals on high-end exotics over the past year or so. Just picked up a pair of Anderson Bean Ostrich in like new condition for my son for $77.00 including shipping. These are $400.00 boots. Also depending on your size, you can look in women's sizes that would fit you. This is the case for my son. He is 12 so it is hard to find quality exotics in his size so I search a woman's size that fits him.

You are absolutely correct about patience. I’ve been looking every day for three weeks and finally super lucked out 10 minutes ago on a pair of barely worn black Boulets on EBay for $49.99 with free shipping! Soles appeared as if they had been worn only a few times. I simply used “Boulet boots 11E” in my search. CHA- CHING! Then... I find this video... WHA....?

@@JeremiahCraig Yes, I believe so. Looking at a photo of the interior shaft, I can make our the last two digits which is “02”. Here’s the URL: www.ebay.com/itm/264908082203. I’m hoping they’re nice. They might need some TLC in the conditioning department maybe. In any case, there’s a 60 day return policy, so no biggie if they turn out to be duds.

I wish I got the chance to watch your video first before rushing to buy my first pair of used cowboy boots at ebay. I just bought a pair of Lucchese lizard cowboy boots for $179.USD. There are obvious scruff marks on the lizard skin. Not only that, the outsoles of the boots appear to be pretty worn and there are serious indentation marks in the insoles. Even after I insert my custom orthotics in the boots, I can still feel the indentation;(-. It is not comfortable at all. I should have been a bit more patient and did more research first. Now I am thinking of having both the insoles and outsoles replaced which is gonna be very expensive or reselling them;(-.

Damn sorry to hear you had a bad experience. You might be better off just reselling them and trying your luck again. That has happened to me before too. I got a pair that looked good online and when they arrived I noticed they were super squeaky when I walked in them. You win some and you lose some. That's the risk of online shopping.
