The mic stand is a frontman/woman’s best friend! I use it often when I need max air to sing, but also want to give the illusion of movement. It gives a natural look for your arm being up and also supports proper singing posture. P.S. NEVER. EVER. Play air guitar!! It looks like ASS!!!

Good tips! But I have one more for you - please don't choke up on the mic and hold the back part of your microphone like that! There are vents there to cause that stage mic to have a cardioid pattern and reject any sound from the sides. If you cover it you will get mountains of feedback!
