I don't understand Japanese but I think he is teaching three types of jabs which differ in the starting position of the hand relative to the body. Normally, when you perform a jab, your hand starts in a position closest to your shoulder. However, he is trying to convey that it is possible to start your jabs further away from your shoulder without much loss of power as it is the torquing of the forearm that gives the jab most of its power.

Yes he does. I can't understand the Japanese language, but his explanation of angles and timing seems to come through regardless.

Continuing......... As jabs are used offensively to set up more powerful blows , such as straight punches, you can use these 3 different kinds of jabs to play around with the timing of your jabs while maintaining pressure so that you can create an opening for your straight punch. Even with only these 3 jabs and a straight, it is possible to create diverse combos and ultimately control the tempo of the fight
