Here's my dialogue. John: Guys, have you seen my cat? She's nowhere to be found. Mark: Nope. For all I know she took a flight to Australia. Max: Who's to say she hasn't been kidnapped? Rob: Our neighbour may've let her into his house.

Very good! You used them all correctly. In the last line, you'd use MAY if you had reason to believe the neighbor would do this. For instance, if he's threatened to take her before, or if he's known for kidnapping pets, or if you actually suspect she’s there. Thank you for posting this!

I know one joke with black humour, but I think there can be used only "maybe", tell me, please, other variants if they are possible, sooo: Two killers are sitting in the porch waiting for their victim, but she isn't coming. So one killer says to another: "Maybe something happened?"

You can use all my variants: ⦿ Who's to say something didn't happen to him/somebody didn't kill him. ⦿ For all we know, something happened to him/someone killed him. 😂

@@smissle2506 I made a dialogue with “may”, check it, please: - Please, water my plants on Friday, I may go to visit my parents for a week. (they live in another city) - Sure, you know I love it)

Thanks a lot, Uly! "Who's to say" was new to me. The explanation of remote and distinct possibilities is also great! And here's my little exchange: A: Did you get what he said? I didn't understand a thing. B: Neither did I. Maybe he was hallucinating. =/= For all I know, he was hallucinating. Who's to say he wasn't hallucinating?
