But here are deeper things I look for in an athletes sprint
- Switching
- Ground Reaction Time
- Flight Time
- Ground contact position
- Head movement
- Shin angle change
- Femoral backwards rotation (i.e hip extension) - greater anterior tilt of right leg that allows for more femoral rotation
- Optimised hip flexion/torso angle that allows more thigh separation
- Forward oriented thorax
- Coordination between lower and upper-body
- Hip flexion on swing leg
The list goes on but I will make a more in-depth post tomorrow about exactly what I look for and do with my athletes to maximise their potential
