The windows need caps to keep water from trickling into the panels and causing erosion of the walls. Unless a valley is created for the pitched inward roof it will create a build up of moisture i believe.

Listen to minute 2:20-2:39. CORRECTION:After concrete to blinding we don't do foundation walling but rather concrete to 200mm thick reinforced strip foundation then fdn walling.

i dont know but the roof design could have been done better, my lectures say that a roof flowing toward the inside of the bulding is a bad design,anyway good presentation

Thank you Nick. For the butterfly roof, will one have to maintain it from time to time e.g. clear the mid section during rainy season to ensure it is not blocked lets say by tree leaves etc. Please share more details about it.

Yes Susan. This design has only one main gutter in the middle, so maintenance is a must. You have to keep cleaning the debris inside, especially before the onset of the rainy season

There is a lintel at the top that holds them very well, also picture this, if people have for thousands of year lived in timber and mud houses, concrete is surely way stronger than all those ....
