I chopped the back row of my locs, and trimmed 2 locs because of lint. I don’t regret my decision!

@@The_chardaegreenlee I think it’s using oils. Many attract debris, cause itching and dryness. I stopped and don’t have much of that problem anymore. I just grease my scalp, use steam for moisture and wash more frequently. Yours look great.

Thank you for the support! I think you still can but just be mindful of your locs. Maybe check them at the end of the day and make sure they are good whenever you wear them ♥️

Do you use lint rollers to help remove lint from your clothing? What do you think about using hair grease on locs as a sealant (not as a moisturizer)? I can't find a lot of information on it and I think it's discouraged because of how thick or heavy grease can be.

I do use lint rollers. I think it helps a lot. However earlier in my Loc Journey I didn’t so thats definitely one of the reasons it got like this 😅 Uhhh hair grease is pretty thick, so I personally wouldn’t use it 😅 especially if there are a lot of ingredients you don’t know or understand what is in it. If you try it and it works for you then you can do it. I just wouldn’t recommend it on mine though because I have low porosity so my hair would not absorb all of that and be wayyy to greasy. Hope this helps

Possibley change your diet. Do a colan clense. Incuded seamoss and eat food that keeps your hormoney balanced. Eat more bitter foods or teas Things that cause itchty scalp: 1. Hair is too tight 2. Dirty hair tools or dirty hair. 3. Dry hair , use the water and oil method. 4. Hormone imbalance 5. Vitamin and mineral deficency 6. Pollution in home, dry air and dust. 7. Allergies .
