Great episode, as always! You confirm some stuff I have been thinking about practicing. Btw I never got why Mark Levine called the rootless voicings "left hand voicings". I like Jeb Patton's term "trombone voicings".

Greetings all, Have You Met Miss Jones, which I have studied Kenny Barron's versions for the last couple of months, to hear you just belt it out gives me inspiration to keep at it. Funny thing is to have the liner notes in the screen as you play, I hear a little voice inside laughing at me saying, "And you want to do what??? Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!" On the real, this makes me want to double down...and I watch Jeremy's clips as well. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

This podcast feels so helpful to me. And on top of that it's just nice to hear you two jam out and talk about stuff. Thanks for making this stuff and the shorts! Also I really appreciate being able to see the notes that you're playing.

I have all my students work with eyes shut and teach that “your hands have eyes”. We have to develop/ trust our spatial awareness and all of the “shapes” we’re practicing.

Peter! You didn’t have to play the comping chords on your solo - you totally swamped Adam (even when he was trying to take his solo) Remember music first. I just had to mention it because I feel Adam is often treading water when you both get in the water. He’s your equal. Much love to you both! 🤗🎶🧡😎
