I agree! Alot of people would stop to help a small trapped animal, because animals are cute, and the act of saving them makes us feel good about ourselves. It's quite another matter to risk your own life for an animal that could, if frightened into it, kill it's well-meaning savior - and yet there are people who choose to take that risk repeatedly. Because the suffering of another living being, is not something that they can just stand by and watch.

It already does. An act of kindness from the heart is its own instant reward, and indirectly it makes the world a kinder place to live in. We are all children of the same 'mother', the material, and 'father', the fire within. And if we learn to treat each other like brothers and sisters, beyond what 'divides' us, but respect each other's individual experience and spirit, we will be co-creators of 'paradise' instead of co-creators from 'hell', through destruction. And any act of kindness, purely selfless, is a taste of 'paradise', which of course can become its own motivation making it no longer selfless, just another addiction, personal gain.

I thought the same- most of these animals were caught in human's trash. All cans and plastic bottles should be crushed- a simple device should be given to people along with their recycling receptacles to do so. For public places, a crusher could be attached to side of receptacle. Those awful plastic rings that hold six pack cans together should be abolished completely, most people never cut them. Jail time should be given for littering, not tiny fines. More appropriate- any human caught dumping cans, plastic or tires should be forced to wear same ( very tightly) around their head or torso like a jail bracelet for 6+ years. That should frighten people to stop dumping their filthy garbage and stupid plastic water bottles anywhere they feel like.

Why wouldn't you be able to ? Medically speaking CPR is about a few basic things and if you hold to them you can do it on anything 1. Does the creature have a circulatory system and a heart (Blood Flow) YES 2. Does the creature have a Cardio pulmonary system and Lungs (Breathing) YES then you can perform CPR but.... there are 2 catches Catch 1 = The rate of breaths to compressions will not necessarily be that of human CPR so you would need to roughly know if their rate is higher or lower Catch 2 = The depth of the chest compression in humans we compress to 1/3 the full depth this is because of the placement of our heart in animals where the heart is closer to the skin it would not be necessary to go as deep so CPR on animals need to be tweaked a little BUT YOU CAN CERTAINLY DO IT oh and you can't give a full load of your lungs into their lungs or you'll blow their lungs out

When I was 11 and my older brother just 13 we lived near Rochester Michigan and one day we saw a group of ducks swimming in the river behind our house. We didn't pay to much attention then, and the next day they came back, this went on for days. What we hadn't noticed immediately was that every day they came, a couple of the ducks would wade up on shore and make all sorts of racket with their quacks and running around. On the fourth day my brother spotted one of the ducks struggling and floundering around in the water. It had somehow become entangled in an 8 pak plastic bottle holder. It was wrapped around its neck and beak and could not fly or eat or anything. It was as if they knew we were there and they would holler at us for help. When my brother finally noticed the ducks predicament he coordinated a plan to try and catch the poor guy but it seemed hopeless. Unbeknownst to us our neighbor had actually called to try and get help but nobody would come and on the 7th day an actual news truck pulled into our driveway? Dont know why or how but they really did. They asked us about this duck? We of course were dumbfounded that the news was actually there. Without hesitation my brother swung back into action trying to catch the litte guy again. And by a miracle from God he caught it!! All on film! We cut off the plastic which was really choking him at this point, and held him for a few minutes all the while being interviewed by the news. We put him back down by the shore line and he graciously quacked his thank yous and began drinking and scooting around the river. Later that night my brother and I and our friends made the local 5 o'clock news. It was surreal. I lost my brother back in 1990 but I fondly remember how brave he was to do what he did that week all for a little duck:)

This weekend I found a little brown bat, hanging on my wall outside in the afternoon heat. He was dangerously skinny, and I drove an hour and a half to take him to the nearest wildlife rehabilitation center. Followed up with them yesterday and they said he’s doing much better now that he has help! Totally worth the time and gas.

Thank you to all those who saved animals! Particularly the ones who put themselves at risk. I feel the same way. BTW, foxes will only defend themselves. They will never attack. I see them when I walk in the woods nearby-- they can be quite comical. One day, my cat and I were walking and she was ahead of me. As we went along a path, a fox appeared rushing along, chattering as it went, from the opposite direction. When it saw us, it gave out a startled screech, then turned and ran into the woods. I felt badly that I scared him/her. But he/she was never aggressive. It almost seemed like it was talking to itself. So cute!

@@robinwallace7097 why does it matter if they are vegan? I eat beef, pork, chicken, fish and an occasional lamb chop 🥩 That does not mean I can't love animals bc I do. I'm a wildlife rescue surrogate. I've had deer, raccoons, and even a skunk. I treated them all with love while trying not to imprint on them. One deer was so young when we got her that she imprinted on me (thinks I'm her mom) so she can't be released, EVER! When I was a 3 years old kid, my family lived in a small town in a house directly at a river. This winter the river was frozen up completely and a gray heron of about my size was stucked in the ice. I'm remembering my grandpa went into the river cutting out the ice around the bird and brought it into our basement, where it defrosted and warmed up over night. After this, my grandma told me every spring, when we spotted a gray heron at the river behind our garden, it is the bird we saved and it would come back every year to say thanks.

Several years back at my grandmas she had to cut down a tree that was interfering with the Powerline and there was over 35 swallow nest I spent about an hour collecting all the nest with the babies in it and I put them in another tree and all the parents came back I ended up saving the total of 135 babies. The next few days I kept checking back at the tree I didn't find any babies pushed out of the nest so I believe most of them survived because the parents were still feeding the babies

Your not suppose to remove there nest. Often when birds mainly young ones are touched by humans the mother will abandon them or kill them. Yes the tree may behave been on a powerline but next time tell the engery company and they likely will advise you to get animal control or leave them until there able to leave. I'm not sure where you live or if you have a pole in your yard that's not owned by you I know PGand E will take care of it free of charge cause it's a safety risk and it being there lines and pole it's there responsibility to take care of it. Just don't expect them to leave your tree in good looking condition mine forever is bald on one side and it's limes are half cut or breaking off. I can't do anything about it as I don't have thousands to fix there mess. I'm glad you tried to help but next time please call fish and wildlife for advice and directions. They likely will not charge you.

I saw a starving stray dog get hit by a car on the 610 loop that goes around Houston, TX. I had to exit the freeway and circle back around to get on the freeway again but the dog had somehow made it to the center concrete barrier to the left of the fast lane. I had to stop my truck in the middle of very fast moving traffic to rescue the dog. When I tried to pick her up, she bit the heck out of my arm but I picked her up anyway. When we were out of traffic and finally safe, I broke down crying uncontrollably because of the stupid thing I had just done and survived. I took the dog to the long drive dog and cat hospital where I learned that she had a broken back, hip and front leg. She also had heart worms. I had to carry her outside every few hours to use the rest room. She is now healthy and learning how to be a dog. My other 2 dogs hate her but I feel like we shared a moment out there on the freeway. Her name is Sandy.

We had a house cat that just showed up at our doorstep. We already had a lot of animals from dogs, cats, birds, etc. we knew it was a house cat because it was very well fed and groomed. We took it to a shelter and it wasn’t claimed after 2 weeks. We even tried talking to many people I. The neighborhood about the cat. We adopted it and took it to a vet. The vet confirmed that the cats paws and overall health showed that it had a home at one point. We don’t know how exactly this cat ended up outside and can’t believe no one went looking for it. If the owner ever came forward we would have returned it. Its been 2 years and the cat follows me around the house. I am not a cat person but this little shit grew on me.

@@evilsharkey8954 I left one part out because we couldn’t confirm it. One of our neighbors believes they saw that cat with a different neighbor that moved to Florida. Mind you this is all speculation those people just up and left one day and the shoe kinda fits. I mean who abandons a car? Weird people.
