I love my Oura ring! So much more comfortable than smart watches/bands. Plus it tackles a more holistic and wellness approach compared to other smart devices, which is better for activity. The cycle tracking and battery life is super awesome! And another interesting thing is it detects illness before you feel anything. You can actually protect its beauty without sacrificing data and comfort with an OSleeve.

Hey Jerad, cool video. I was a bit concerned about the subscription charges in the Gen 3 and am still exploring other options. One alternate I came across was the Ultrahuman Ring Air was wondering if you had plans of reviewing it?

Great video, tks. How do you work with the data from the Apple Watch? Import them to the Oura App because Apple Health is kind of annoying. Do you only check data in the Oura App?

Is there a difference in tracking quality between index and ring finger? How does the data compare to the whoop? I’m interested in just a fitness tracker and love the recovery score model from whoop.

Great review! I also have the Oura on my ring finger for comfort - I couldn't get used to having it on any other finger. Curious to know, after having it for four months (per when this video was uploaded), is it tracking accurately? Thanks

Yes it is. I still wear it on my ring ringer 24/7 except for charging.

Question: do you need to have an Apple Watch or iPhone while you’re using the ring? Can you leave your watch and phone behind and then sync or do you need to have them in close proximity?
@jeradtech

Just need a phone to sync to from time to time. Apple Watch is not required at all. I would ditch the watch but I use it for SMS and Music while I’m working out.

Between the Apple Watch or Oura, which do you prefer? Thank you

The Apple Watch because it does more. If only considering fitness tracker, I'd go with the Oura because it's so minimal.

It’s pretty similar. Just a less intrusive device.

I’d buy it if they added steps tracker

It does track steps. Under the Activity tab in the Oura app. You can set your activity goal based on calories burned or steps.

Sorry I had to give this a thumbs down for false information. Oura does not recommend that the ring be worn on the index finger for married people not to look funny, they recommend that finger because it provides the most accurate readings. Also the monthly subscription does not cover anything extra just extended data that without is practically useless to own, it does not provide accidental damage or loss insurance, that would be their Extend protection plan that has a separate cost.
