I saw LEMON Twigs in Seattle when Hollywood came out. They were fantastic A mix of the Raspberries, Wings, Beach Boys... love the a Hollywood album. I have the double School album too. Might be over ambitious

I’ve heard a couple oriole say that about school. I have not spun it yet. When I was in school I lacked ambition. Until the 3 pm bell rang. Then I was super motivated to get my butt off campus.

Good call on Beach Boys Today. One of my faves also. More fun than Pet Sounds. I thought I found an LP copy of Wild Honey recently. But it didn’t have the record in it! I bought the empty cover for 25 cents. It hangs as decoration in my basement man cave. I have it on compact disc but hope to find a nice vinyl copy one day soon. I have never had issues with greatest hits or comps. I think some folks in the VC need to show those more love. Anyway, I enjoyed this video. Thanks

oddboxTopper I agree 100 percent. Comps are great. Sometimes you just want the hits, you know. Oh man, I’ve had that happen so many times. Bought a pile of cheap records just to find out the jacket was empty. It always seems that it happens to the coolest record in the bunch.

Yo Boster... Love the Pennants. I remember back in 56 when my Pop drove down to Halifax and we went through some States in the north east. My brothers and I grabbed pennants from Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. The White mountains in Vermont were real pretty. Nothing but White Birch stands and sparkling little trout streams. Some nice thoughts at the end there Bo. It's starting to look like the States is on the verge of some sort of revolution. You guys look ungovernable to me. The sensible people need to take action and never mind if it's your neighbour or a relative getting all goofy and needs to be reined in. Better now than later. Later might be too late.

The Lemon Twigs are great! I agree, a lot of glam in their music, but I hear some Todd Rundgren in their music too. Can't go wrong with the Everlys. And imo, Positively 4th Street is worth the price of admission alone! Wild Honey is my favorite Beach Boys album (but Today! is fantastic too!) and very underrated. Lots of good stuff, great video!

Bo, I hadn't noticed that Kentucky Colonels banner before. I have memories of those ABA days, with Dan Issel, Artis Gilmore, Louis Dampier. Don't think that I saw them much on TV, so I had to settle for things like the Sporting News and Street & Smith's Basketball annual yearbooks. - Chris

Haha🤣 It’s nice to have a 12 year old that is getting into records. I have Kiwanuka’s first record. I love it. It’s a nice folk soul record. Think Van Morrison, Bill Withers, with a touch of Tracy Chapman. I saw Vinyl Guru show the Lemon Twigs on one of her videos and she put that on my radar. They sounded great! Haircut???? Cheers🍀

G'day Bo. I like that first Lemon Twigs record - kind of lost me after that one but may need to revisit that second one. I think my dad would throw cassettes in to the trash if he was annoyed with overplay in the car. So pleased you didn't settle for the Best of The Everly Brothers. That would have been a complete and utter embarrassment. Who does Huckleberry Hound think he is?

Seattle never should've lost the Sonics. Malarkey if you ask me. Artis Gilgmore was a multiple time All-Star in the ABA before being a NBA All-Star for the Bulls and Spurs. He won a Championship in the mid 70's too with a young Hubie Brown Brown coaching if I'm not mistaken.

Damn straight Eric. The ‘75 Colonels. They probably could have beaten the nba champs that year. The Rick Barry led GS Warriors. My dad LOATHED Barry. They knocked out Sonics out in 6 games in the western semis. I remember sitting in my dads roadrunner while my mom ran into the drug store (remember those) and my Dad cussing Barry out while we listened to Bob Blackburn’s commentary.

I remember Drug Stores. When I lived in small town Illinois, we would rides bikes into town. The Drug Store/Pharmacy was also a 5 & Dime. We'd buy penny candies (remember those?) and surplus outdated G.I. Joe's for a buck. Ice Creams were 25 to 75 cents. We'd be unsupervised for hours... Everything was cool as long as we were back on the porch when dark came. We just had to call from friends houses (rotary phones) or pay phones (now extinct) every hour or so to keep mom posted. Times have changed. My phone has a symbol for dollar$ but not cents.

Hey hey Brother Bo. Great to see you again on this Saturday night's alright evening. I got to tell you Bo. I just checked out some of the first out of two Lemon Twigs albums that you showed and I thought that it was {as JJ Evans used to say} "dy-no-mite". I am going to pick that up. I bet it sounds really nice on vinyl. I appreciated what you said about the newer artists carrying on that classic sound. I do get a little bummed at times when I see some of the musicians/vocalist that I loved in the seventies. Some of them cannot even play guitar that well anymore. I hate to admit this because he was my all time favorite classic rock guitarist. But Jimmy Page has definitely lost the coordination that he once owned. I don't even think he plays much anymore. He is too busy with his website and reissuing the Zeppelin and various Yardbirds releases. You are so right. The stage that the virus is in is a very fine line. I just get a little concerned about rushing into things. Quarantining has proven success. But money needs to me made too. I would hate to be in charge of any the country's future decisions. I always dig catching up with you Bo. You would be great in a leadership role~ Rob/Boston
