I dont understand the dislikes... 🤔 this dude is doing an amazing work to show us how to correctly stretch. I mean there are so many garbage videos in youtube about doing splits in a day... like 😑😒 i think tom has one of the best channels for stretching! Thanks tom.

Don’t you understand? People who criticize others are miserably unhappy with themselves. They carry their misery around like a weapon to strike out at those who don’t hate themselves. It has nothing to do with any of us who are victims of trolling, hate speech, or abuse in general. We are not the problem. They have the problem.

Thank you! Exactly what I was needing. Separate question, would you consider producing a short daily mobility video for older people, like 70s+? I know it probably doesn't fit into your subscribers demographic but members of my family have shown interest in learning key mobility movements to keep their range of movement as they age. However, even the beginner videos you have seem a bit too intimidating for them.

Got you. Will take a look into what i can manage. If I’m honest, I would recommend some strength work as a priority to the elderly population. Is much more important for maintaining mobility later in life

@thepianoguy981
2 жыл бұрын
@@JeeYaoKuneDo Hard to say exactly how far away I was. But what I can say is that by doing this routine I got down a couple centimetres more. I used to do a full front split routine follow along once a week but for the last 6 months or so I‘ve been doing this routine less often. However I incorporate front split work after my workouts, just not for that long and that intense. I usually sit in a front split for 1-2 minutes, move around, hold the position without the help of my hands and do PNF. Still not quite there though. These last few centimetres really are almost impossible to overcome for me. Hope that helps.
@JeeYaoKuneDo

@@thepianoguy981Thanks for taking the time to clarify. I've always thought that with flexibility, it's all about a high frequency. But that doesn't seem to be the case in the flexiblity protocols I've seen so far. Whether it's front split, side split, or bridge. One quality session a week seems to be enough (perhaps sprinkled with a bit of grease the groove).

One question, your knee against the ground or looking out, I mean, do you put your knee to the side when you open your legs? 🤔 cause I can't open much my legs if knee on the ground and my leg goes sideways by itself
@thepianoguy981
Жыл бұрын
@@evilevil15If you want to do a proper full front split, your hips need to be „square“. Meaning your back knee is touching the ground and the front of your back leg is facing the ground, not the side! If you let your back leg open up, this might lead to injuries and generally speaking, it is not proper form. Hope this helps, but Tom has explained this in detail in many videos.

Can you do something to give advice on how to fit it into a weekly schedule? Sometimes you say that you do something 2 times a week, some things are okay to do everyday and some things just 3-4 times and I guess I'm just confused on how to make a weekly schedule?
