Listening today with my home care aid...she hates my music but this album certainly tickled her fancy...Mind is so classic, anyone can fall in love with it...Happy 30th and hope my Ministry comes back to NY (preferably the Hudson Valley) to do more shows in 2020...you guys blew the roof off of MSG...so fucking epic, man...please never ease up on what you do Uncle Al & cronies...you guys have made my otherwise debilitated life an absolute joy👼🏻🙏🏼🌷💜

I just wish that Ministry still sounded like this today. With this album, at first Ministry’s switch from synth and sample based music to heavy guitar & bass guitar driven music seemed like a brilliant move for further innovating Industrial music’s unique and abrasive sound while introducing Industrial to a wider audience and while still remaining true to its exclusive underground roots, starting with the jumpstart intro of guitars on the first 3 tracks of LORAH album then morphing into this crescendo of a landmark Industrial Metal album which still has few if any peers today. After this IMO Psalm 69 had mostly good sounding tracks, but after that the rest of Ministry’s music started to sound dull and uninspired to me compared to their beginnings, and I can’t really explain why. Perhaps it was the almost complete burial into the back of the mix of first the synths, and then drum machines. I think The Mind album today still sounds so good in spite of the almost complete elimination of synths due to the inclusion of the frantic drum machine rhythms that drives most of this album, along with the Twitch-esque continued heavy use of film clip audio sampling throughout, although the live sounds produced by Ministry’s twin live drummers giving it their all behind the chain link cage was also most excellent during The Mind 89-90 Live tour. I’m still happy to see Ministry touring fairly frequently nowadays and their live versions of their current album songs do sound pretty good, even if not really Industrial anymore, with exception of the few live tracks that they routinely break out from LORAH, The Mind, and Psalm 69 Albums. I am well aware of Alain’s frequently quoted claims that (paraphrasing) “the Label (Arista) made him do it” on his primarily synth-driven With Sympathy Ministry debut full album produced during the height of New Wave Music’s popularity, and therefore he still hates that album, but here’s to hoping that Uncle Al and band will eventually come around and work a few Twitch and With Sympathy tracks into their live shows if they continue, and Mabye even allow some drum machines and more prominent synth sound into their future albums if they continue to record new material from here.

Wow. 30 years. Can't believe of what age I have become so fast :) Cool album. Bought the vinyl on release day and later the CD. This album aged very well. You give me a good reason to re- listen. Happy birthday and a joyful time to you all. Cheers

See you in a few days Uncle Al, will be front and center at the show just as I have been to so many others over the past thirty-plus years. Still have this on cassette & vinyl, as well as caught it live 1990 in Dallas, Texass.

eye had a recurring nightmare in the dream eye was in an old subdivision in aurora colorado no city east colfax and while eye am walking around eye see tornado swarms coming fast so eye always grab onto somthing on the ground like the sewer drain bars. in another one eye was grabbing onto steel coming out of the foundation and in another the unfinished wall studs. eventually eye was in the middle of nowhere with nothing to hang onto and eye was sucked up into it then the dreams stopped. 2026 =year 0

On another note & album... I would love to have a shot or hear someone talking one at remixing, or remaking, We Believe. A classic way ahead of it's time that needs to be addressed. This all takes me back to when I was into early thrash and got turned on to the really cool electronic that is Twitch, to go on to hear subsequent Ministry albums take on guitar with the edgeness of the electronic. Those early albums are what makes Ministry so undeniably unique and cool. This stuff is like the missing link between genres. Which I'll add, spawned a slew of industrial metal artists.
