All of RPMs plastic feels great. And pretty much every mold is great. The kiwi and kotare fly extremely OS. Kotuku is definitely my favorite disc in the lineup. Little more trusty in wind than a new emac and a little more fade

Yikun does have some great discs. They have three overmold discs (their “turtle” plastic) but they also have a baseline, Star-esque, and champ style plastic. I’ve never thrown their baseline but the other two I love. I’d say the star equivalent (they call it the “dragon” plastic) is most similar to the Viking discs “armor” plastic. Their champ style plastic is called the “phoenix” plastic and it’s closer to like the see through clash plastic or maybe kastaplast k1 than it is champion (but it’s not quite as nice as the k1)

Did not expect to hear Riley on a youtube vid 😂. Been watching you for a few weeks now, love the content brother. If you're looking further into RPM discs, would highly recommend a Tui for that neutral to slightly flippy putter. Feels great in the hand and surprisingly torque resistant when given a decent huck, I couldn't go without mine. And the Kotuku for a straight-overstable mid. Drew Gibson was in town a couple weeks back and he loved the glow cosmic plastic kotukus, was even throwing them in a local tournament.

Fun to see you trying some off-the-beaten-path discs. The new Wild Discs lines are pretty seriously great. The Addax Reborn was produced by MVP I believe, and is a super smooth 5-5-0-1 mid. The old Addax (which may or may not be harder to find) is a whacky double-beaded 5-5-0-2 that... totally slaps somehow? The Angler is an incredible overstable approach and the Sea Otter is a great throwing putter. Highly recommend you give them a try if you can.

Great content... You're doing amazing as always. I gave the video a like even if it is not your most hype video, basket shots or best play day. That can always be the result with trying out new disc's and it keeps it real in field and is probably appreciated more in the community because it takes some throws to get to know your disc's and the things you might not know about the disc's or us as viewers. We all get the answers in the comments in the end and or find new ways to research these products and it grows us all. Step by Step. Toss by Toss. Comment by comment. Content by content. Keep doing what you do.

I was in Nashville for a wedding a few weeks ago. (I'm from Northern Michigan). My wife and I played Seven Oaks and Crockett Park. We also hit up that disc golf shop (Nashville Disc Golf Store). Sad to say, it puts my local shop to shame. Best selection I've seen. Especially their used selection. I bought a ton of discs that I didn't need. The wedding was meh, but at least I got to disc.

Soo... That Yikun seems to take a bit more usage to get the grip going. And it seems to be bad on a turnover, but as a stright approach it seems viable. Very intrigued by the Meteor Hammer you mentioned... The putter Gui by Yikun, is great throwing. Had one that I lost and bought 2 Knife by Viking Discs to replace it, VERY similar both profiles and flight. Yikuns Phoenix plastic is really nice and a bit gummy, very close to the K1 by Kastaplast but not quite as grippy in all weather conditions, and more flashing ofc. Recently got 2 more Gui in Phoenix so now I have 4 nice stable throwing putters to practice with ;) I'd like to get a comparison in oat/torque/distance/headwind between the Gui/Knife and a Sensei in Active Premium, been on the fence getting the Sensei i Premium.

Anthony, the Yikun Tomahawk is listed at 5/6/0/0, but it's really 5/6/-4/1. Once you get that, the disc makes some sense. I don't like mine either. I think it's a good approach disc for beginners or old people. The rest of us turn it over with ease. And, FWIW, it's in the Tortoise plastic, which is supposed to be Yikun's premium plastic. How many pros play Yikun discs? 'Nuff said.
@keyelectric91

My wombat3 is essentially the same with 5/6/-1/0 but flies like 5/6/-4/0 and my streamline jet flies about -2 from the turn number on it.
@martinmelhus7324
Жыл бұрын
After looking at the flight path on dgputtheads (which shows it as very flippy), I'd say it's like a Paradox or Leviathan with more glide. 5/6/-4/0 seems right, and the few throws I've made with it agree with that. Even with significant hyzer, it flips up and over, and fades all day. Whoever sets the flight numbers for Yikun must throw on massive hyzer.

I got the yikun starter set a while ago. All of the discs were in tiger (baseline) plastic The kui and gui were 2 of my favorite discs for a good while, especially the gui used as a throwing putter. Unfortunately both are getting kind of beat in. Kui has become stupid understable. Just ordered the gui and a couple others in dragon and got the tortoise 3 pack. sony a7iv, gopro is tough since it's so wide so the lack of compression makes the discs pixelated after like 150 ft, I have some POV vids that I use gopro with, and all my tourney vlogs are gopro too.
