Still amazes me how efficient you are as mostly a 1 man crew. I used to build these with a steel structure and those require a lot of detail so I can’t imagine doing this with wood but you make it look easy Paul! Stay warm

Do you make your own trusses or order them? I’ve been planning a 30x40 shop and this is exactly what I want. Except I want a garage door on each of the gable ends. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. Thanks.

Looking good. I like the colors you selected for the exterior, except for the roof. Down here in Texas, a black roof is out of the equation. We would burn up in the summer. One question, what tool(s) did you use to cut your exterior metal and can you do a demo on how you cut it?

In the coming months we'll have some videos of our tools, details on cutting trims, and metal.

14:07 thank you for putting the wrap on the correct way. When I was in highschool I worked for a construction company during the summer. And my foreman made me pull the house wrap off the side of a garage because I installed it upside down (the words) and that was “unprofessional” and looks bad. Good times. 😂

You said during the Madd County build that you would not pour concrete above the wood in the posts but I just saw your line that shows the top of the concrete maybe 3-4 inches above the bottom of the posts. What changed?

I was told if you put aluminum against treated wood that, the chemicals in the wood will corrode the aluminum? Have you had any problems?

The house wrap separates the aluminum and the treated wood.

How does a post and beam building like that compare in cost and quality to a similar metal building? The metal buildings seem to go up quicker.

Hey Paul, we use nails when putting in our windows in garages and houses. I was wondering why you chose to go with screws for your garage windows? Is there a benefit?
@MrPostFrame

One reason I use screws...in case I need to adjust the window later.

Tho I do love the black & white color scheme, it don’t go with the color of the home. I think a beige siding with a brown trim would have looked better with the color of the home.
