Nice work. Interesting contrast in styles. You can see the effort Kingsley puts into everything, while you look cool calm, collected, and efficient especially with your movement. Love your compact strokes.... Backhand return was so good under pressure. Looks like you just played one loose game in the first set. And I liked the serve and volley play a few times....Maybe mix in the slice more at times...? Oh and love this viewing angle, such a treat to watch!!! Good luck!!!!

Karue got a little Bautista Agut and Mannarino to him! Handles pace so well, controls the court with depth and precision it is amazing. You can see it really puts pressure on the opponent, injecting pace when he needs it. Hopefully he can keep this level up and we see him in a 250 soon!

Just to add some context. Cannon Kingsley was a 3x All American at Ohio State and finished his senior year ranked #12 in the country. As a junior, he was the number 2 recruit in the country and played in 3 of the 4 junior grand slams. Karue played a great match. It also shows just how tough it is out on the tour, even at the 25K level.

It's amazing to me how you are able to dominate the baseline hitting a medium pace, rally speed ball. You can clearly crush it when you need to, but it's such a different approach than so many other guys on the tour, who are trying to put maximum pace/spin on every ball. Inspiring stuff. Huge win.

what a match! if i can be honest, i've never ever seen players like karue and giron that are playing this style of tennis - driving the ball forward that much with very little topspin. it's deathly but with very little margin of mistakes. respect
@KaruesellHQ
7 ай бұрын
there is actually a lot of players who play like this. Our shots have enough topspin to keep them safely on court. We just don’t like to play very high heavy balls. Personally, I can’t even do that as my hands aren’t fast enough to do it over and over. This feels very safe for me. Modern tennis (aside from clay) is played through the court, if you lift the ball poorly, guys will smack it down

Hey Karue, congratulations on the win. After watching the entire match, the first thought that came to mind was how well you stayed composed throughout the match compared to a match you posted about a month and half ago. Except for the frustrated racket throw after losing the first (very understandable due to how those 2 points cost you the entire set). As a tennis enthusiast I loved seeing you play super high percentage tennis and only going for your shots when they presented themselves. Overall it was a very clean game and your strokes seem so effortless. Also, this Kingsley guy has a bomb of a serve but your overall return of serve game was pretty good and kept putting pressure on him to continue hitting big percentage of his first serves. Lastly, loved seeing you approach the net frequently to cut those angles and finish off the points. Keep up the hard work and thanks for all the tennis videos you've been uploading for such a long time.

Great job Karue! This match should be studied by all tennis players. Your opponent had more firepower… won more 0 - 4 shot points (especially on his serve) yet couldn’t win the match. You controlled the center middle of the court… Kingsley was playing closer to the lines. Your shots had better net clearance, when Kingsley couldn’t finish the point quickly he often lost the point. You took your opportunities when they were presented… Kingsley rarely came to net and when he did he often lost the point. ABC - Always Be Consistent 😊🎾

He has a good service with lots of free points, but in groundstrokes many unforced errors and no real weapon, solid, but not really good for his position. Great match from both. Karue, I'm curious to ask (as an internet tennis warrior of course), what would you want to work on in your game? From what I can see, your game is pretty damned solid! If anything, theres maybe a few things that I see: 1. Bigger serve weapon. You're a fantastic spot server, and win a lot of points already. Imagine if you had a little extra oomph. 2. The slice backhand. I rarely see it, and it can be a good way to simply disrupt a players rhythm. Also, if you bhit it low and wide, you might force someone to come forward, and open them up for a passing shot. 3. Drop shots. You tried a few, with varying success. Aside from that, I'm really curious to understand what YOU see to work on.

It's interesting to see how with the no 408 guy, who is obviously a fantastic player with some great achievements, it's none the less pretty clear how he muscles his shots a bit, isn't terribly loose and flowing with his ball striking. Absent his first serve, which is getting him through a lot of service games, his ground game lacks rhythm and consistency and isn't really putting his opponent under sustained pressure. Yeah, he can blast the odd winner here and there. But it's interesting to see him ripping at the ball fairly ineffectually.
